Terrell Owens had all the talent in the world but people couldn't stand to be around him.

Rodgers seems to have entered that same territory.

Don't think most teams make that move.

Smart teams probably don't.

It's been said that the Jets brass don't necessarily want that either, but team owner Woody Johnson does.

Johnson is the same guy who kept Rex Ryan around as head coach because he liked his big talking personality.

That's literally one of the reasons he dropped in the draft.  The 49ers were deciding between Alex Smith and Aaron Rodgers with the #1 overall pick.  After meeting Rodgers the choice became clear it wouldn't be him, because he came off as an arrogant dik and they couldn't see a guy like that leading the franchise.  That's from Mike Nolan (head coach back then) and Mike McCarthy (the OC at the time for the 49ers).

"The other thing as Alex at the time was a good kid -- a very good person, a safe choice, always trying to please," former 49ers coach Mike Nolan said Tuesday morning on NFL HQ. "On the other hand, Aaron was very cocky, very confident, arrogant."
