Anthony Richardson Combine Physical Feats

10 foot 9 inch broad jump. Record for a QB at the combine.

Hoping he runs but the rumor is he won’t. Reminder, he is 6’4 and 244 pounds. If he does the 40 I’ll get the video posted of that, too.

Here is a clip of the vertical:

Have we found our Cam Newton replacement?

I’ll need to pull his broad jump and vert to compare. I love Cam Newton and Richardson could never replace him. Not the same personality type. But I’d be hyped to have him on the team.

Don't really care how far he can jump.

Can he thread the needle with a pass to a receiver while a defensive end is bearing down on him?  If he can, then draft him.

Type in "anthony richardson vs" into Google or YouTube and watch his game cutups. He can, but he has to learn to be consistent with his mechanics.

If the Panthers built a super star coaching staff made for quarterback development, why not take a homerun swing?

I just saw some idiots on the NFL Network saying AR is a better passer coming out of college than Cam. That’s completely and utter absurd.

Damn the dude's basically retired and the legacy NFL media is still selling him short.

Richardson is comparable based on raw measurables maybe but Cam's Heisman season at Auburn is one of the best campaigns an NCAA QB has ever put together.  30 TDs to 7 INTs with 66% completion.  The only question was whether he could run an NFL offense and well it took about one half of football on opening day to answer that question.

I am not saying we shouldn't draft him.  I don't honestly know.  But I don't think it matters how far he can jump.

It’s one of a few ways to test for explosiveness. Dude can be hella explosive. He also has an unofficial 4.44 40 which would give him one of the fastest QB times of all time.
