Fun Fact:

There is an upper limit to what a team can pay a QB and still have a chance of winning a Super Bowl.

Since 2000 the only QB to make more than 15 percent of the cap and win a Super Bowl is Patrick Mahomes.

Since 2000 the only QBs to make more than 11 percent of the cap and win a Super Bowl are Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady and the Manning Bros.

NFL CAP for 2023:  224.8 million/team

Something has gotta give with these QB salaries.  Its untenable to pay 1 player 25-30% of the cap thats allocated for 51 salaries.

You're not the only one who feels that way.

Some of the people who share that sentiment are in a position to actually try and do something about it, but who knows how or when that will happen...

Chiefs will nab him to replace JuJu

New Cards head coach Jonathan Gannon was on the Vikings coaching staff some years back when Theilen was just starting out.

He's got some connections to people that used to be part of the Panthers organization (Jared Allen and Norv Turner among others) but a cursory look at his career doesn't turn up any current links.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
