u think the Jason Peter potential comps have any weight? I wouldn't mind taking him if we could groom him behind Moton.

I mean there's something to be said for drafting the most athletic person you can and hoping for the best but not in the second.

panthers need people that can play, especially in the 2nd/back of the 1st. they dont need someone to groom for multiple seasons to play a different position.

Yep, this is not the season to go for huge "upside" types with little-to-no production. Rookie QB needs help right now, not 3 years later when the professional lights "may" come on...

Like I said more targets more catches.

The guy has averaged 30 targets and 18.75 catches for the last 4 years. If you add in the 36 catches he made his rookie year, he's averaged a mind boggling 22.2 catches a season. He's totally worth it and just needs more chances... Vine Ok GIF

well this is stupid

UGA runs the ball fifty times a game, and he didn't play the second half for 75% of his time in college.

horrifyingly he's not even the best tight end on the roster, but that's not a dig on him.

We were talking about Ian Thomas, not Washington. Heel31ok thinks Thomas just needs more opportunities instead of drafting a new TE.

He solo blocked Will Anderson--the best player in this draft.

Bijan Robinson also single handedly stopped Anderson dead in his tracks.  I have a feeling Anderson is not going to be what people want him to be.

He’s being projected as a 1st now.  We’d have to trade back up to get him.  But even at that price I’m down.

I dont know if were in the right position to trade up brother, I think someone is gonna be there at pick 39. No way that Mayer, Kincaid, Musgrave, Washington, and Laporta all go before then.

    • https://nfltraderumors.co/2026-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams/      Grade: B+ Best Pick: Sam Hecht Biggest Reach (consensus rank): Jackson Kuwatch (NR) It's easy to love what Carolina did. The Panthers traded four times but ended the draft with the same number of selections that they started with and in approximately the same ranges. They did not take a player ahead of the consensus until Kuwatch at No. 227, and it's easy to see how he fell through the cracks playing at Miami of Ohio. He's a high-end athlete, though, and has a chance to develop, which is a fine profile for a seventh-rounder. Freeling and Brazzell also checked the high-end athleticism upside boxes for the Panthers. Carolina let the board come to them in the first round and could have a long-term solution at left tackle, which is a hard position to fill. Brazzell slid because of some maturity concerns as well as the difficulty in projecting receivers from Tennessee's Mickey Mouse offense. At 6-4, 200 pounds and 4.37 in the 40, though, the upside is undeniable. On top of that, the landed three starters on Day 3. Normally that's a high and unrealistic bar, but Hecht and Wheatley were both firmly inside the top 100 on the consensus board and have paths to win starting competitions. Lee fits the scheme well and has some interesting traits as an outside corner. What stopped me from a full-out A grade is not loving the Hunter pick, though he does fill a need to replace DT A'Shawn Robinson. There were prospects at other needs positions I would have been more jazzed about. The Brazzell pick is also an interesting risk for a team that's still in building mode, even coming off an NFC South title. Still, I'm nitpicking
