I'm fine with going with the guy that can actually block and catch. Dolphins fans aren't that upset about losing him, basically a really tall possession receiver who isn't good at blocking. 2 years $13M guaranteed isn't bad for Hurst

Of course they aren't. Their coach doesn't involve the TE in the passing game. It's how we got Greg Olsen from Mike Martz's Bears. Not saying Gesicki is Greg Olsen but I'd expect a sizeable jump in his production in NE.

Silence is great news. Some team is laying low getting their cards right to get the steal of the offseason. Hopefully that team isn't in the NFC.

There's no "laying low" in the QB market. Lamar has just badly outkicked his coverage here and he's going to be very fortunate if the Ravens don't hold his feet over the fire now. They can probably fairly offer him considerably less than their last best offer now if they want to. Lamar might legitimately be looking at his best option being playing the year out under the tag and proving he can stay healthy. He'd have an extra hundred million plus in the bank right now if he hadn't been trying to save 3%.

Pretty much.

He thought he'd be the subject of a bidding war. The only war seems to be teams competing for how far they can distance themselves from him.

I expect he winds up back in Baltimore for whatever they're willing to offer.

Patience my friend. There will always be a team lurking when it comes time. 32 teams not everyone has a franchise QB.

Patience...

We'll see. His potential landing spots are drying up fast. I think we're seeing that the consensus around the league is that the wear and tear is catching up with him and his best play is already behind him. It might be on Lamar to prove them wrong at this point.

"Protecting Joe Burrow" ... LOL. That is the funniest thing I've read all day.

At least from what I've seen, he was arguably the best player on a bad line (kind of like Taylor Moton used to be for us).

That said, Cincy apparently believes that Brown is an upgrade.

My guess Is they thought they could keep Williams and just move him to another spot, but now he wants out.

Maybe not - appears to be a fake Twitter account from a Patriots beat writer.  Don’t see it confirmed from any of the usual guys.

Slayton's a Giant. Pats got Smith-Shuster.

So yeah, I'd say that guy doesn't know sh-t.

    • I’m really having a hard time understanding how this actually went down. -Renfrow expected to make roster as 2nd/3rd string. -Panthers cut Renfrow; Keep Brycen Tremayne, and add UDFA receiver (Dalevon Campbell) to active roster.  -Canales/Morgan say it’s totally up to Hunter whether he wants to come back or not, they would love to have him.    -Renfrow not signed to PS -Panthers trade Adam Thielen -Hunter Renfrow signed to active roster with a raise after an injury to Coker nobody heard about and is likely to start.    Our WR room is now: -Xavier Legette (2024 1st round pick) -Tet McMillan (2025 1st round pick) -Hunter Renfrow (1 year out of the league) -David Moore (Canales’ friend? A guy way past his prime) -Jimmy Horn (Likely a Shi Smith reprint, but has potential 2025 6th round pick, weighs 174 lbs) -Brycen Tremayne (2023 UDFA who was on Washington’s PS for 2 years and caught 1 pass for -2 yards and averaged 300 yards per year at Stanford) -Dalevon Campbell (2025 UDFA had a good preseason but had 1463 yards and 3 TDs over 5 college seasons at 3 different schools). What the hell is going on?
    • Not uncommon for week 1 games. Especially against good defenses. It’s why I prefer my team play these small schools week 1 if they are going to play them. Gives the offense time to get calibrated.
