Reich press conference today?

It's good to hear Reich address the durability concern. Folks that have an infatuation with Bryce Young will hear Barry Sanders and have hearts in their eyes like Bugs Bunny but most will understand the point being made. And you can argue why he retired but even as good as he was he ended the ride at a decade. And that's as an RB. It's easy for one of us to say fug it take the risk but it's not our careers at stake. Tough choice for Reich. No pressure buddy.

Damn concussions...  I think they ended Luke early too.  My main point was there IS a concern with durability and size as Reich stated Young's durability is a concern.  Yeah it's easy to find players of normal size that have injury histories because there are so many of them.

If I remember correctly, Morgan had only one injury in college and that was minor.

It's just damn near impossible to predict that sort of thing.

So Reich has said Young’s height and durability ARE a concern. Maybe posters on here can stop pretending like it’s not..

The question is do his intangibles outweigh his physical limitations. They are off the charts so they might.

If Fitt and Reich are acknowledging the size concern and if they draft young and he gets hurt thats a wrap for them.   Seems like stroud is the pick.

Ill be more intrigued then pissed

I will be thinking why they bothered trading up to 1st for a play that definitely would have been there at a less expensive place to move up or at 9.
1st isn’t a place to draft a project player that may not start for a long, long time. If ever.
We aren’t the 49ers. We aren’t a team that can contend while out QB situation is in the pits.

If he's the guy they want why does it matter?

The pressure is on us regardless the moment we traded for that #1 pick.

I'll match that with a Luke Kuechly on the other side.

Everybody in the NFL by trade should be instinctual by now.

There was only one Luke Kuechly. I'm not sure of anyone else in the league that is diagnosing plays to the extent Luke did, and that was because he was a film junkie and watched it daily.

Also that has nothing to do with sensing when someone is around you or getting close to you.

One of Bryce's best traits is having a great feel for where everyone is on the field at any given time. He avoids pressure within the pocket better than anyone in the class.

Tom Brady is the GOAT in large part due to his unbelievable pocket awareness/manipulation. Dude moved in the pocket better than anyone pretty much ever. He was hardly ever sacked because of the way he was able to sense pressure and avoid it while in the pocket.
