You forgot Kyle Boller, currently a backup with the Rams. If Fox and Hurney are here next year, I guarantee that Boller will be a Panther and will start. 2 years ago they announced how much they love Boller and wanted to bring him to Carolina. Boller was under contract at the time, and a trade could not be worked out. We signed David Carr instead. Boller is 29 (I think) and has a decent arm with plenty of starting experience.

I love how everyone mentioned in this thread ain't worth a damn. Give me Matt Moore over any of them.

Yeah this guy isn't worth a damn.

A lot of good passes dropping back from under center. Most people if Smith came out this year and seen that video would be wanting to draft him. And hes done nothing but help strengthen his case to get him by what he has shown late last season and in preseasons.

3 of those options are horrible.. first, Troy Smith was never projected to be a good NFL QB prospect, even before his horrible NC game.

Tarvaris Jackson, benched for Favre because he wasn't getting it.. you don't sit a franchise QB and stunt his growth for a stopgap QB like Favre.. period.

Chad Pennington, said he is more than likely never going to play again.

Josh Johnson, is the only decent option, but I don't think we could get him for a lower pick than what he was drafted. We already have so few draft picks.. and any new coach here next year will want to bring his own people in through the draft to fit his scheme.

aaaaaaaaaaaaahhahahaahahahahaaahaahaa

fail..... vikes 10-2

I've liked Josh Johnson ever since the Bucs drafted him. However, I doubt they would give him up for just a late round pick considering his value has a least increased some. Why don't we trade a late future pick and one of the dt we have picked up that will be expendable... if they want to trade him for landon johnson's awful contract straight up. I honestly think this guy could be really good with some time, a good run game, and a good offensive line. Check, Check, and Check

    • Yeah, what the hell is Scott doing on that 1 play he dropped back to the 40?? There isn't 10 seconds left in the half and need to defend a hail mary...
    • Immediately cast blame? We had been talking about the bad throws to Hunter (the missed TDs and hospital ball) for days leading up to that injury report.   And yeah, the rib injury then becomes something to point out.  and you are getting desperate with this projected extremism.  No one  said you should never throw seams.  I shared with you an article after you scoffed at seams being routes you can get hung out to dry on….and it was the best of the best talking about the dangers of those routes.   And they talked about it because they threw them a lot and there dudes were at risk so the throws really matter.  Because you can hurt your receivers.  we disagree, cool.  I got a pro Bryce former NFL QB calling it a hospital ball and bad throw.  So I got a plus +1 making my argument.  Find a QB that backs your take.
    • You exclusively highlighted Hunter's name on the injury report and then immediately cast blame. I've pointed out that this wasn't the hospital ball you claim it to be while also acknowledging that there could have been another option to target instead of Renfrow. By everything you've expressed here, you don't think seam routes should ever be thrown. I don't know how that helps the already struggling offense, but I do know that it would make it even worse than it already is. Scapegoating never has and never will solve anything. Tell you what: Try not blaming Bryce or casting shade his way for the entire week after Arizona and instead look at the other 21 starters and assess what they're doing (again, without shading Bryce). I'll join you and refrain from exploring what the rest of the team is doing and will focus solely on what Bryce needs to do better. Deal? This is a sincere peace offering to allow us to explore the other's perspective and perhaps be even more informed football fans.
