How quickly we forget people vouching for Derek Carr this offseason. Honestly was my most hilarious moments of the offseason.

Anyone who writes New Orleans off too early this year may be surprised. Carr is playing where he may succeed. With Michael Thomas and Chris Olive he has 2 very good receivers. They drafted A.T. Perry from Wake Forest who may surprise. I am not convinced the NFL South will be the weakest division in the NFL as some are. Atlanta may surprise.

He had the best WR in football last season. So you think having lesser WR's he's going to do any better?

Carr is the true definition of mediocrity.

You may be right, but I think he is better than Dalton. We shall see. It will be nteresting.

The issue with NO is people still act like Payton is still there and will be an offensive system that is great. He’s going to a Dennis Allen led team which is far from the 2006-2019 Saints

I called the saints being god awful last year, and Im still standing by it.  That roster is old and shitty.  Carr is the best part of that team, and thats not a good thing.

That’s the only reason why everyone has them winning the south. The only somewhat proven QB

it’s really funny the team can literally have the worst combined average of >6 wins the past half decade and y’all cry about being disrespected lolol

It's the 4th of July. Our Independence Day. Can you try and not be a tool for just this one day?

Arguably the best WR in the NFL on the outside

Top 5 TE

and arguably the best pure slot WR in the game

with a strong RB in the backfield

It was basically QB heaven for Carr last year

I didn't want him, personally, but I don't think he's as bad as people on here make him out to be.

That coaching staff in general though, yes they are bad. If the saints suck it's because they're getting old and the coaches suck, not because of Carr.

He's better than any QB that's played for us the last 4 years, which isn't saying much. On a good team, he'd be a good enough QB, but he's still a mid tier QB, which isn't good enough to elevate an old, shitty roster.

    • It's just a talking head.  Talking about gambling. If anybody takes the under on 4.5 wins, they're most likely losing their money.   So he's only saying if you want to bet on a possible sleeper, take the over.  It's not rocket science.  Pathetic that so many on the huddle have reduced themselves to posting purely trash every time they hit the submit button.
    • I mean I think the best case scenario has to hit for the Panthers and everyone else in the NFCS has to hit their worst case scenario.  Personally, I think this is the year that NO finally collapses and I think they finish 4th in the division regardless.  ATL is overrated but still likely a 6-9 win team. TB plays tough football, their defense will be there but their success depends on the offense, they too are a 6-9 win team.  The Panthers are probably 4-6 wins at best. If they find some sort of momentum during the season and get 7-8 wins, and TB and ATL struggle then maybe but I find it very unlikely.
    • We screwed up a couple years ago taking Bryce in the first place.  Nobody held a gun to our head to jump from #9 to #1.  Most people who keep up with draft news knew this 2024 QB class was loaded and we should have waited, which I advocated. It was a dumb move and I knew it.  Now we have to roll with Bryce another year.  That's fine, because this 2025 class isn't that great.  I like Ewers, but not super high on him.  If Bryce shows improvement, which I think he will, that should get him at least one more season before we have to decide on if he's the permanent answer or not.  I've said before, the 2026 draft is the next window for a franchise QB if Bryce isn't the answer. Bryce gets this year and next at a minimum.
