"Quarterback"...the Netflix film

Surprised I have not seen anyone mention this. Netflix film produced by Peyton Manning. "Quarterback follows three QBs — the Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes, the Minnesota Vikings' Kirk Cousins, and the Atlanta Falcons' Marcus Mariota — as they progress through the 2022 NFL season."

Interesting close up look.  I watched it over the weekend.  I was impressed by the amount and type of extra training Mahomes does. Kind of insane.  His success is no accident.

Hope our young QBs...Bryce and Matt watch that.

Felt bad for Mariota.  Seems like a nice guy.

I watched most of the first episode, it's interesting but has kinda dragged a bit for me. I may continue to watch but skip through the Cousins/Mariota parts as they bore me.

I watched it while multi-tasking...helps. (How i watch most things...lol)

lol yeah me too, threw it on while working out (normally put on live sports but in the summer I don't have much of that not being a baseball fan)

I tried skimming around but lost interest pretty quickly. Manning stuff so far has come across pretty light and fluffy, like that draft QB show that was basically a commercial for Manning passing academy. I might skim around again to see if theres any Adam Thielen candid moments

I binge watched the entire thing.  You are right about Mariota.  There isn't a single interesting thing that you are missinig if you skip over his parts.  Cousins is a boring person but there were some interesting things that came up during his parts.

Just strange that they picked two super middle of the road vets, I guess they can only get QB's that want to deal with being filmed all season long. No one ever wants to do Hard Knocks

My guess is that they wanted some variety....which they accomplished.

Im a few episodes into it and I love it.. I love sports docs in general.

I was impressed with Kirk, he has a really cool story and IMO is one of the most under appreciated players in the league.

Mariota... yeah he just has a boring personality.

I like that they picked a top tier, mid tier and bubble player to follow.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
