Really awkward exchange between Steve Smith and Bryce. I can’t quite figure out what Bryce thinks Steve was implying here.

Go to 4:40.

Damn...  as a guy that didn't want Bryce going into the draft, I like to see that.  It's a little chippy and edgy.  I think Smitty has grown into his role as an analyst and has mellowed out a little bit, but I also like that you could see he recognized and respected Bryce took umbrage with the gesture and vocalized that lol.

Ya all these “sacks” though? I thought this as suppose/going to be one of the best OL’s we’ve had in decades.

I saw somewhere that Michael “Sacks happen” Jordan is still on this team, playing tackle. In a live game I don’t want Michael Jordan anyplace near Bryce

After like 30 Bryce pre-draft interviews where he sounded like a robot it's nice to see some personality come through. He's still more a silent killer type but good to see he's not a pushover.

He didn't name the song but Keyshia Cole's biggest song was Let it Go, and a dude singing it first person would sound gay I guess? Don't really give a poo what orientation Bryce is but cool to see him not letting Steve get by with insulting someone singing a song regardless on gender/sexuality or whateverrr

The full video shows that it wasnt as terrible as the original one that was posted which cuts off abrubtly (he goes on to name the song he sang)

Am I the only one who didn’t think this was anything crazy? I thought the gesture was clearly Steve joking around and trying to get Bryce to sing on air and Bryce going along with it and just saying he wasn’t gonna do that in a joking way. I feel like I see people play around like this all the time where I’m from.

I have enjoyed seeing Bryce’s personality shine a bit more through these training camp interviews though. You can tell he’s getting more comfortable.

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
