Hey guys, I just did some research and remember the line judge who ejected smith against the cowboys back in 2005? It was Mark Steinkerchner.

Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to who the line judge was this week?

You guessed it.

Roughing the kicker call wasn't the refs, that was just a bonehead play by Brown.

The first 7 points however, was all the refs. All they needed was to give them a boost.

Dont forget about great acting by the kicker. Brown didnt even hardly bump him LOL. Still a bone head play you can even be within a 5 mile radius of a Kicker.

I think the Panthers would have lost this game with or without bad calls. That being said, the Anderson PI call, followed by the Captain PI call.... nearly sent me into a wild rage. Neither play was PI, but it's the Pats so they get it. It's bad enough when we suck, but add bad calls (so bad they decide the game) and I'm just sick of football. Thanks refs. Hope you enjoy getting chewed out when your sh!t PI calls get sent in for review. I'm sure Fox will have them qued up by 5am Monday morning.

Can't pin the loss totally on the win. Our offense was flat and the playcalling was completely unispired.

However, there were an inordinate number of times where I yelled at the TV in the bar for a b.s. call (First time I have done so since the missed block-in-the-back call against Philly).

I'm not a tin foil hat kind of guy. I usually don't like to blame the refs for a loss, but this WAS the worst officiated game I have seen since Dallas '07. I mean when they showed the stat at the end of the game, 9 penalties to one for New England. I don't care how disciplined a team is, when you see that kind of a disparity, it's fishy, especially given the amount of MISSED calls against New England, like the two roughing the non-Brady's, or the flagrant holding non-call on Randy Moss.

After watching every play of this game, I DO believe that referees give special consideration to the Patriots, especially when they are at risk of missing the playoffs.

I thought my fugging DVR was broke. Pathetic all the way around. We got hosed on some calls for sure, but we didn't do much to help ourselves. I was livid with the way Fox butchered that final drive of the first half. Let's move the ball with some nice passes, but not call a time out. Pats get the ball to start the second half, but we'll kill the clock anyway. I want him gone tomorrow.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
