Bryce looked like he had predetermined a few of his throws were going to a specific guy regardless of coverage once he counted to three in his head and one of them lead to an easy interception. I think he just had a few lapses in game one of his rookie year.

Doesn’t help Young his WRs can get separation.  Think that plays into the staring down.  Windows are small.  

and our talent and playcalls pose no threat downfield.  That’s allows a D to play different

Playcalling was an issue for sure. He had the performance that hurt his team more than the other two for week 1. It’s a long season. I don’t expect it to stay like this.

Well allow me to point out a few things. When we traded up to the first overall pick and forfeited our best WR and another first rounder there was an expectation or two. Nothing extreme like instant playoffs but just a basic low bar. Defeating the Desmond Ridder led Falcons would qualify. Today was dreadful.

Desmond Ridder didn't beat the panthers today and trying to argue that he did is silly.

We aren’t going to threaten teams downfield this season.   Talked about it before the season started.  And when you don’t have the talent and playcalls to do it….it makes life hard on a QB.  Especially in the NFL without the talent/scheme that allows folks to be open quick.   

Chark will help whenever healthy.  He has the talent/ability.   But it’s a one man job here.    And that’s not really Young’s game. That’s my issue with his skill talent.  It just doesn’t do him favors or match Young’s game yet.   Wish they could have done better there.  But it’s year one.

My man you can flail and poo every post you want but Ridder and his team are still 1-0. Hopefully Bryce Young with all the hype about his passion for studying the game will take this L to heart and look much improved next week.

There is no failing but to ignore that Bryce did better than YOU thought itsn't an issue.

      This.  He knows where the seam is about to open, cuts, and accelerates hard. He’s slippery and tacklers always seem to be taking awkward angles to get to him. No dancing. Runs low and powerful. Almost never goes backwards for a loss. We’ve rarely had the guy who bounces off of tacklers. It’s nice seeing another one.

      I can't speak for others but yes I read it. The conclusions are based heavily around the use of the statistical metric DYAR created by football outsiders and used by ESPN for this article. It only includes players whose production began in 2000. But excluding HOF running backs who produced BIG in an iteration of the NFL that was not yet catered to making things much easier for offenses in order for them to prop up more recent candidates is rather absurd and seems like just playing favorites regardless of where one might fall on their opinion of the use of the metric in question.

      Same thing I first thought but then I saw it was against Jacksonville and took about half a second of playing to know. I was at that game.  I can't tell you my level of excitement when I saw it was Delhomme instead of Peete who came out for the 2nd half. Delhomme has and will probably always be my favorite Panther.
