Yeah the OL flex isn't a good one.

If anything it shows how much money they spent on players who aren’t suiting up but folks are still pulling through. To be fair though, they don’t have anyone as bad as Jordan or Zavala on their team.

Just now, SOJA said:

Bryce I think is going to be just fine, but I was in camp draft CJ stroud

We just need to open things up, I don’t care if he throws 20 ints, just go for it and let him learn. This conservative, limit the mistakes kind of offense is just terrible.

It’s time to open up. Our schedule is:

AT Detroit

AT Miami

BYE

Two games nobody expects us to compete in so open it up and try things out. Because after the bye we have:

Houston ( CJ Stroud ) at home in Bank of America

Indianapolis ( Anthony Richardson ) at home in Bank of America

AT Chicago ( Justin Fields )

Two games we should get destroyed, a bye and then three games against young QBs we had a shot at picking. Panthers fans are upset now but if Bryce doesn’t look better head to head against the three after the bye it’s going to be full meltdown mode, not just here, but all over social media.

This year the S2 got a lot of hype because it might have helped predict Brock Purdy's success. I can see why GMs valued it, because it's the closest thing they have to predicting the multitudes of Sam Darnold's out there. (all the physical tools, arm talent etc., but can't put it all together.)

Stroud's agent did him a disservice by the way his S2 score was handled. It looked bad. I was a Stroud guy come draft time simply because I just think you don't move up to #1 to pick a guy with historically bad measurables (BY). Maybe if I was married to a billionaire I'd feel differently.

As a pre-draft Stroud supporter, I'm still surprised he's doing as great as he is. But hey, Bryce has "IT" factor. Or so I was told on here.

I honestly think Young is going to be ok when it's all said and done.  My concern is and will continue to be (until proven otherwise) what we passed up in Stroud.  His only weakness in college was handling pressure/going through reads which he seems to have no issues with at this level so far.

Call me crazy but I don't think Detroit crushes us.  If it was at home I might even go with us winning it.  Miami will probably cook us, but overall we have hung around every game this year.

I’m not going to mock or dismiss any Panther fan that has a glimmer of any hope week to week. It’s difficult but I try to have that mindset every week if we are going to win until we end up not winning. Detroit has a good run game and I worry we aren’t going to stop their run. Plus they get Jameson Williams back this week I believe so they have a deep threat to keep up from crowding the line.

Something about them doesn’t seem as threatening. Maybe it’s just their history. They have to prove they aren’t the Lions of old which looks like they are starting to.

I thought initially the trade was for Stroud. I do think more now that the whole edict was Nicole wanted Bryce and Dave wasn’t gonna let his piece of ass be disappointed again.

That said, the vitriol over Bryce is truly reaching unhealthy levels. Like, it’s OK to blame all your life’s problems on him I guess and make retarded Clausen comparisons (Bryce’s last two games were better than any game Clausen had in his career), but I didn’t expect the Huddle even at its worst to straight up pretend the good plays he makes just didn’t happen, and create ones that Dalton didn’t make (lower YPC than Young).

But when you suck, it’s always the QB’s fault. Was that way with Jake, Cam, even Weinke.

    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
    • I trust Morgan when it comes to LBs so I think Wallace will do well.
