That's what I mean, he hasn't been able to do that like he did in college. Don't take pointless sacks trying to do it in the NFL.

One of the concerning things so far is that when he's tried to do this at the NFL level he's getting caught more often than not. He's definitely going to have to adjust to the faster overall defenses when it comes to his scrambling.

I thought he’d be a bit better at extending plays because based on everything we heard about his work ethic etc he’d have shown up a big bigger, faster and stronger but nope

Without a doubt as any college player does. It will help when our OL plays better and he is avoiding one defender vs 2-3. He typically scrambles to look for the pass though which isn’t relevant to rushing yards. That was my point.

I went back and watched a few of his college games. I think he just has to learn to be more decisive in the NFL, he’s a guy that’s not scrambling to run, but trying to buy time to push it down field. Has to learn that window is shorter in the NFL. He’ll make the adjustment.

It took Tua until year 3 to put on some weight and he talked about how much he hated doing it. Give the kid some time.
