Based off the visuals, I've got a pretty good idea how this ends

You happen to watch any of Peyton Manning's first season? I was stuck in NW NC and could only get tv broadcast from Bristol, TN. And they made sure to showcase every one of the Tennessee product's games that season.

Wow, he stunk. You knew he was going to be just terrible. And while he was bigger than Bryce (by far), he was about as mobile as a '78 GMC pickup truck with three flat tires.

Had you been able to bet on it, there's no way anyone would have passed on dropping a few bucks into the "bust" bets column for Peyton.

And that's repeated again and again. And sometimes those that come out of the blocks with guns blazing and winning like crazy, well, that second year is it for them... the wad is shot.

We just don't know how this is going to go yet. There's really no way to know.

Bryce was hurt that game.

CJ stroud had the best game in college football last year, against UGA in the semis.

Bryce probably had the second best game of the season, in Knoxville. And you want to talk about getting pressured? Bryce was murdered in that game and still should have won.

In a physical sport you need some physical attributes, B.Y. has none.                                                                            See Shaq in highschool

You talking about the same rookie year where Peyton rewrote rookie records for completions (326), passing yards (3,739) and touchdown passes (26)?

You could play the “what about” game endlessly, the point is that it’s just straight up too early to tell either way, and that’s the truth.

sure but the things in the negative box on bryce are not going to change, he is not getting bigger, he is not getting faster and he is not going to drink some magical tea that gives his passes more zip

Ill say again cherry picking HOF qbs to compare to bryce is moronic at absolute best

I saw a lot of good things in that video. Lots of flashes of greatness. My favorite one was the 0 TE screens thrown to Ian Thomas. He doesn't have Jeff George's arm but the kid can make some throws. It really makes me wonder why Frank is calling 30 screens a game and not letting him push the ball at least to the mid level.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
