There was one angle of a replay that showed the aftermath as TDA and the ref were skating back up the ice and TDA had a palm-up comment like, "WTF?" and caught a whistle as soon as he said whatever it was. Pretty petty stuff.

What I liked:

  • Canes skated far better than at any point in any game thus far.
  • Orlov is getting more comfortable with each game.
  • Lemieux is sandpaper... all the time...
  • Turbo is shooting the puck when he has a lane- this is a good thing.
  • Necas is playing with an edge.
  • Jarvy is confident.

Challenges:

  • Neither Andersen nor Raanta have been very impressive.
  • TDA still needs to revert back to Canes TDA, not Philly TDA.
  • 26% to the good on PP, but PK sucks at 79%
  • 19 GF, 17 GA.... ugh.... while having up the 4th best shots against average at 25.3!

It’s that goals against we gotta fix. Can’t be letting this pace continue when we play teams like Edmonton or Colorado. We currently lead the league in goals. Like what? Have we ever held that in rods tenure at any point? I’m just hoping we don’t get our usual goal dry spell that happens every month or two. 
 

I think Jarvy is going to have a mega year also. Seems like he’s finding every aspect of his game. 

TT before last night was 4 goals on 5 shots or some crazy number. 
 

I really cannot wait until we get a nice good ol eastern start with Lemieux in so I can actually focus on his play.

The PK has allowed four and scored four so I'll call it %100

      Yeah. They do the same thing with OL, all OL positions are included and that is why Ravens can’t or won’t tag Linderbaum - 28mil for a C.     And they could sign him but I think maybe his mindset for the last year is make them regret not having enough faith in him to pick up his 5th year.    I am not sure we should pay a ILB 20 million either.  I guess if there is a rookie next to him, you can rationalize it financially.

      Have met Luke and Jstew multiple times, both are gueninlely nice guys and down to earth as they come. Smitty I guess it really depends on what side of the bed he woke up on I've seen him were hes cool and other times hes a dick.  Williams was a always a dick.... just my 2C.

      Big one for the Tarheels tonight, start of three straight at home before Dook season closer. 3-1 maybe gets UNC into the double bye, a loss other than to Dook, pretty much insures they'll be playing on Wednesday in the ACC tourney.  Still a lot of movement could happen.  There's 5 or 6 teams who could be anywhere between the 3rd seed and 8th seed depending on how things shake out.
