If they weren't THE best they were among the best. 11.5 sacks between them.

Didn’t realize the evaluation was about only this season and one specific stat. And there are many others with at least 11 and 12. off the top of my head there are many better. When the whole package is considered.

The sellers are getting fleeced. We just need to hold what we've got.

Imagine had we traded Burns for two firsts and a second. We could have traded a second and a third for Sweat and Young. We probably wouldn’t have had to pay them much more than we’d pay Burns but we would have two more 1sts in exchange for a 3rd and have 2 edge rushers instead of just one. Man, what a deal we were offered.

It's possible both thay and the Niners did but got turned down.

That's the sort of thing you hardly ever hear about until later though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Washington's new plan is to build around Howell because if it's not you should've moved him today because you clearly just threw the towel in on the season.

Pretty clear they're parting ways with Rivera either way.

Wonder if they follow Tepper's example and keep Hurney.

    • Best birthday present ever!
    • People were discussing the new backup QB in comparison the the starter.  Neither has anything close to a cannon.  Video was posted of them throwing.  If people can’t be free to express their opinions without being put on a list of posters who have ruined this place we have a bad situation here. People trying to silence  criticism of the QB.    Maybe actually post about the other players instead of about the other posters. That is where it went off the rails.
    • That's true and we're definitely going to hear more about it as summer progresses. But at the end of the day all of the progress we've made on the roster as a whole will only matter if our passing offense can emerge from the basement of the NFL. In 2023 it was 32 out of 32 in 2024 it was 30th out of 32 and last year it was 26th out of 32. And early in the season we relied heavily on a career year from Rico Dowdle who is no longer on the roster. This is only reinforced by the fact that we (depending on how one views it) effectively took playcalling out of Dave Canales hands and brought in another offensive mind. The elephant in the room isn't going anywhere no matter how much we may not like it.
