Are we average?

It's 100% just effort. Our style works, obviously. We have shown that. Our players are good. Again, this is apparent. Coaching and FO are great. The only thing that changed were some additions and a rough start to the season.

My bet? We have some mental blocks going on and dudes are just not locked in. We are better than our play has shown. That I am certain of

I’m very concerned about the goalie situation. Honestly, I don’t see how Freddie can come back. Maybe it’s different in the pros, but with clots he’s most likely going on blood thinners, and usually contact sports are out once that happens. Hoping I’m wrong, but my gut says this is going to be a bigger deal than we think.

Rannta isn’t a no.1 and how much playing time does Kooch need to be ready. Has he hit his ceiling?

The rest of the team has to give 110% and limit SOGs or we’re going to have an average record.

The good news is if anyone can fix it, Rod can. Heck, he took a bunch of rookies and JAGs and Justin Williams to the ECF and we got a long way to go in this season. Hopefully we can get it together, get Pesce back in the lineup, and figure out a goalie solution.

We got a long home stretch coming up. I assume we see pytor tonight. Halak should draw in during our home stretch… I don’t know if Raanta can physically handle 68+ games as a 1 or 1A.

    • Aggressive runner, hits the hole fast, and runs angry.  Just a few yards shy of the single game record for the team.  Absolutely phenomenal performance.  If the gameplan hadn't become weirdly pass heavy for the 3rd and first half of the 4th quarters he might have been flirting with 300.
    • I felt that way before the season started, but I'm sorry, he's already proven he isn't that guy, I don't need to learn anything more about him. He threw the ball 30 times today and could only throw for 198 yards, which was his 2nd best yardage game this year, he's just not the guy. Which means this season has already moved onto the 2nd most important thing going into this season after evaluating Bryce, and that's developing our best young players. You don't do that by only throwing 8 of your 30 passes to your best player who is still only a rookie.  Pepper him with targets and help develop him so he's ready to take a huge leap next year when we get a real HC and QB to get him the ball.
    • Every win comes from a non-sustainable source.  As CRA mentioned, Penix absolutely imploding against ATL, and then today, defense finally clicked and looked the best they’ve looked in a long time (and still have up 24 points lol) and Rico ran for 200+ yards.  We’re not going to get that every week, especially against good teams, which neither Miami or ATL are.  Both MIA and ATL are bad teams and Bryce still couldn’t get it together.  The defense (and team) had to overcome 14 points because of his turnovers again.  That was not even an average QB performance.  We are winning in spite of him.
