Also I’m sure she didn’t just pluck that name out of thin air

Tepper just went on a rant to her about this offense he created I’m sure he slipped in BOB’s name while he was at it

See above...

Might not have thrown a name out there, but the ideas mentioned would definitely fit O'Brien.

I get the "why" of it, but given how bad our offense is right now a change may be inevitable.

For what it's worth, Russini said "leadership" wants an offense that more closely resembles Young's college scheme.

That may be where the O'Brien idea comes from.

At least Bill O'Brien was a successful head coach to a degree. And he's holding that turd Mac Jones accountable for sucking ass. But as a dude he seems like a butthole so I'm not really into hiring him in any capacity.

He ran a Pro Offense? It’s literally been ran before when he was in the NFL…

You said the offense he ran, not a "pro offense". You don't bring Bama's book because it coddles Bryce. You don't even give him college-level "pro offense" plays. You give him pro offernse tailored for the NFL. BoB is doing jack in NE. He'd do jack here. But hey, as long as Bryce is comfy, we good?

Andy Reid created a spread offense to help Mahomes. They ran a similar offense for Kyler Murray as he did in college. We even did it to a degree with Cam. This is nothing new. You typically cater an offense to your first round QB and yes helping a young QB get “comfy” is part of the process.

    • For a topic that started as a lighthearted, off-season "hey, bryce should keep the beard" banter, this thread sure took a turn
    • I ageee.  Typically, a lot of people were focused on receivers and QBs maybe because it is the fun part of offense for them.  A lot of “Bryce needs more weapons” stuff.   When the weapon he really needs is a big time OL and RB room.
    • I detest the Saints and their fans. Different POV's come to different conclusions. Some will use this as an opportunity to say people are complementing the Saints. Which is obviously just silly. Others will see this as an instance of sobering reflection on just how comically downbad our passing offense has become in the Bryce Young era. Some can choose to bury their heads in the sand like they're in a cult and others can choose to embrace reality. I approach this season the same as I have any other season in Panthers fandom over the last few decades. Hoping for the best and perhaps a miraculous surprise but preparing for more of the same.
