Intangibles aside, let's grade straight-up QB traits (Bryce)

I'll try mine out, from what I've seen:

Accuracy - B- (Have not seen solid stuff here.  Maybe 2-3 B+ throws a game, an occasional A)

Arm Strength - C- (Has not shown to be effective enough.  Honestly, Pennington tier)

Mechanics - C (Footwork is just not good and it makes for timing issues)

Elusiveness - (When rolling, has been caught up to by DTs)

Release - B+ (It can be pretty nice/quick, even if his feet aren't set, I'll give him that)

Size - [erhhh]

Mobility/Running Ability - D

Physical Toughness - D

That is a lot of concerning traits to be supposedly be made up for with "composure" and being a good, high character kid.

Physical toughness a D? Why?

Accuracy: A from the pocket; B- on the run.

See the recent graph posted here supporting Bryce’s accuracy. He’s putting it where he wants most of the time with some bad decisions in the mix. He’s sailed some I think he should hit while moving out of the pocket. Many of his incompletions are intentional throw always bc plays are dead with no chance.

Arm Strength: C+

I think he has adequate arm strength, but his footwork fails his arm at times.

Mechanics: D

Biggest improvement needed here imo, with emphasis on his lower half mirroring his eyes during progressions.

Elusiveness: C- in the pocket. B+ on the run.
He’s made some nice moves in open field to evade tacklers. His movement in the pocket needs work.

Release: A

Size: F

He needs to spend this off-season prioritizing adding 10+ lbs of lean muscle.

Mobility/Running Ability: B+

See above. It seems pretty clear the coaches and Bryce don’t want him running a lot this year.

Physical Toughness: B+

He missed one game so far and he’s under relentless pressure. Seems pretty tough to me.

Gibbs has been pretty awesome for Detroit. People laughed at Detroit thinking they reached with their picks, but their draft is looking better and better each week.

Branch and LaPorta had virtually no acclimation period. Transitioned perfectly and look like multi-year vets.

Branch is one of those rare alabama players i liked and he hasnt disappointed.

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
