For a league willing to absolutely destroy the sport itself in the name of safety, the one change that would instantly increase the safety and decrease injury risk, guaranteed, they won't act on.

Head injuries and their long term effects make them look bad. Other injuries don’t.

When a player gets hurt on Turf because their foot was planted in the ground while being tackled, then okay, it's fair to at least question it.

But this was just him straight up starting to run from a standing position and his Achilles popped.

It sucks, but it was just an unfortunate injury that happened, I don't see how it can be blamed on the turf on this one in the slightest.

The NFL has never and really will never care about player safety over profits. Until the profits are threatened(like the CTE lawsuits), there will be no change.

They are even going back to the CTE well and publishing skewed data attempting to show there is no issue.

    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
