It could be an indication that Fitterer was the main reason we drafted Bryce.

Not to say Tepper didn’t voice his opinion, and after that dinner furthered his belief that he liked Young better… But in Fitterer’s press conference after the draft indicated he was all about Bryce a few years ago.

If Tepper is comfortable moving on from Fitt, it would seem he is comfortable moving on from Bryce.

Lets hope thats the case but i doubt it.

I've never believed at any point Scott Fitterer will stay in 2024.  I think the Panthers will either let the HC pick the GM or the GM pick the HC.

I'd been leaning that he might. There were reports suggesting it.

But with the story that's come out since, I just don't think it's possible. You'd be asking a head coach to come into a situation where the GM helped sabotage the previous coach.

That just isn't gonna work.

No, not @Mr. Scot that bum, but it sounds like Fitterer will be on his way out. I think it’s gonna be a hard reset with everyone in the building and it’s needed.

We should be so lucky

why should ant GM with a continuous poor win loss record be retained

much less a historically bad season with probably one win…..a guy who predicted competing for nfc south crown

total buffoon

My only concern is not just Fitterer, but Cole Spencer, Jared Kirksey and their regional crews have been working throughout the season on the upcoming class.  These are the guys that have been putting together evals and helping construct our boards for the past 3 years for Rhule, Fitt and Reich.  Most team EOS reports for most prospects were due towards the end of November, early December.

Lord knows who they're identifying as their next faves.

Full cleanout needed.

You're not gonna get that before the next draft though.

What you see this April will be the result of the current staff's draft evaluations, even if it's under a different GM.

Interesting note. It will be a good time to evaluate the current scouting dept and see if it works.

sortof maybe, but I bet any new gm will bring his staff and his evals with him as well

It's usually dependent if we're getting a guy from a team where he can pull from.  No different than bringing a hard drive to work that last week before you give notice-- gotta make sure you're grabbing work you did for your own portfolio and records.

    • I love Chubba.  Been a fan since I heard about his story when he was at Ok St.  and no doubt his production and progression is impressive, but this is my one nitpick - he was always touted for his speed, having come from a track background, so I am honestly surprised he doesn’t have more breakaway runs for TDs than what he has achieved thus far.  But to be fair, it often feels like he is constantly having to break tackles, so when he breaks the last one where it would just be nothing between him and the end zone, that usually took long enough that a defender from the opposite side of the field got an angle to catch up.  I really hope with the receiver additions, Bryce moving forward with confidence and proving that ending stretch last season wasn’t an aberration, and another year of synergy for the OL, Chubba is gonna have some wide open running this season.  He is definitely special.  Proud of him and happy he is getting rewarded for all his hard work…
    • Didn't i say passing other cars?
    • If you're in the left lane, look to the right. Is there someone beside you? Are you soon overtaking someone in the right lane immediately ahead of you? No and no? Then get the fug over. That's how it's supposed to work. Doesn't matter if you're going 100.
