Young had 13 seconds on the clock for his last play with 0 timeouts. He held in pocket for 3 seconds & threw the ball over the middle for a 22 yard gain that took 3 seconds to complete the catch after the throw. The entire offense had 5 seconds to sprint & set for a spike. It takes at least 3 seconds to run 20 yards for the average lineman. This leaves 2 seconds on the clock for a spike.

It takes 16 seconds to run a play & a spike. This question on a test must be known by every coach & QB. If you don't have at least 3 seconds on the clock from when the ball is spotted, the spike will not happen. Tabor & Young failed on this management. This will seperate champions from teams that stay home for the playoffs.

The correct decision with 13 seconds on the clock was 2 quick sideline throws for 10-15 yard routes & a final Hail Mary if not in FG range.

A QB padding his stats against a prevent down by 2 scores in the 4Q & flunking the final drive test is never impressive. It's not a sign of a championship caliber QB.

The expectation for Young in an NFL game would be Young from the first 3 quarters with his lack of clutch management from the 4th quarter. You have to throw out garbage/prevent stats at the end of game. It's the decisions, clock management & consistent clutch throws that matter at 4Q comeback time for an NFL QB.

Investing another 2 years in a QB like Young losing with his occasional well timed highlight pass against prevent is where this is headed.

That’s a troll account. Always has been. Teams don’t play prevent when they are up by one score. Plus anyone with eyes knows that wasn’t prevent. It’s like that guy claiming the Falcons went prevent the prior week up by 2 with over 5 minutes left. Just nonsense.

Imagine if they had let Jensen stay in the game. Everyone would still be trashing Bryce Young on how he has a noodle arm and can't read defenses. Meanwhile he's running from DTs and LBs as soon as he completes his dropback, or best case he can't step into a throw because of a dirty pocket. Or he'll never be able to play in the NFL because of how bad his footwork is - and it's 100% uncorrectable. And no one would realize that Chark could actually get open and make plays if given more than 2 seconds before his QB had to bail on the play.

It was very encouraging to see!

However I'm going to wait and see how he performs in the finale and if the confidence and swagger carries over.

Remember, Green Bay is the team that made Tommy DeVito look like a future starter and allowed Baker Mayfield to post the first perfect passer rating by a visiting QB in Packers history.

Point being, I think this was a much needed get-right game against a poor Packers D that hopefully will bolster Bryce's confidence. But looking at how that D has been performing lately, I'm not ready to say that it's an indication that Bryce has finally turned the corner...yet.

Once is an aberration. Twice is the start of a trend.

I really believe Bryce Young will continue to get better and better. Often we tend to forget this is his first year and expect him to play like a seasoned veteran. With a better cast of players surrounding him, I expect to see Bryce become a top ten N.F.L. QB by his third year.

      Sober. Still feeling it. I really like how the schedule is laid out for us. Perfect for a new HC and rebuilding team. Aside from the Bengals, there aren't  any good teams before the bye. Chargers will be, but they're having to figure poo out just like we are and they'll be coming here for an early game. That one is a toss up. I like our defense against them. I think we'll give the Bengals a fight, but I wouldn't put money on us winning that one. But the saints can be swept. They're beat up and just don't have much going on. They'll be at the bottom of the division. I feel like we will split with the falcons and the bucs. There's nothing scary about the raiders or that washington team. Chicago is another toss up, but they aren't scary either....not yet anyways. We're getting them early in the season so I like our chances. I especially like our defense against a rookie QB. And the broncos....boring. Giants....again, boring. Looking at this, we've got a good defensive thing going on. I think the unit will be better this year a d we're in season 2 of Evero. I like us especially against rookie QBs, and we'll have at least 3 we're facing before the bye. We come in and play smash mouth football and just keep hitting (pounding) away and I think we're competitive. It's that schedule after the bye that scares me. Hopefully by that point they've built up a lot of confidence. You get a scrappy dawg that's got some confidence and a lot of fight in him and you've always got a shot. I think that's what we'll be this year. This year isn't about winning all the games. It's about building confidence and learning what we've got to do.

      To be honest I just haven't been paying attention. I have PTSD from all these shitty Tepper hires. I'm just going to wait and see what takes the field.

      What is extremely rare?  Taking a young quarterback when you have a starter?  If that is what you are referring to, at one time it wasn't that rare.
