Well I guess the pendulum has swung back against PFF yet again. After the Packers game they were gospel. All depends on what narrative someone is looking to build.

I mean reading his article the WORST of the offense were the two OGs, Mingo, Chark, and Tremble. We HAVE to fix these weapons and OL not just for Young, but whoever we have at the QB position.

It's extremely disappointing. He showed some serious promise last year. Then he read all his pressure clippings and they went to his head. I do think he's an OG though.

A lot of that was fools gold last year though.

Its no coincidence that he started to “look good” once that started running the ball 90% of the time and the 10 -15 pass attempts, they brought a TE over to help him pass pro

Heck, Remmers and Matt Kalil would look good if they rarely had to pass pro and had help the handful of snaps they did.

Ickey is a dam good Run Blocker.  But in the NFL,  you have to do more than just run block.

My concern with the notion of moving him to guard is something that I’ve seen brought up by some OL coaches and Gurus.  Not all of his poor plays has necessarily been slow feet etc.   he is just flat out failing to figure out who to pick up on certain play.  A lot of mental errors and some just laziness.  Very much similar to what we saw with Cam Erving which happens to have been his mentor last year.  Moving him to guard isn’t going to all of a sudden make him figure out who to pick up or what to do in pass pro all of a sudden.

Injuries have had an impact. But I cannot say how much Bryce Young not consistently making throws to keep the defense honest is hurting us. We only got to see one game of Dalton. At this point it's clear to me why we haven't let him play again.

I would really have liked to see Brady C and Ickey swapped when things went downhill this year just to see if we had a LT on the roster we didn't know about.  And yea, it sure does seem like we have had a lot more injuries the last couple years - strangely right around the time we switched to turf.  Hmmmmm.

Might want to spend that second round pick on a new LT

I think he can improve, but you always should take good linemen if available.

just a year too late to save us from this fiasco this season.

I believe there should be open competition between Brady and Icky for starting LT next training camp and preseason. They pretended to have one when Icky was a rookie, but that was just to make sure their 1st rd pick was "ready" to play. I think Brady has a shot.
