I’d take Bill in a major front office role. Throw the bag at him and let him build us into a respectable team with a young head coach and keep our DC.

lol why in the world would we want belichick of all people running the team and not coaching? great coach (albeit a cheater), terrible personnel guy. look at patriots drafts like the last 7 years

Look at the Panthers the last 7 years.  Can it honestly get worse?

Lol yes absolutely. Belichick is about as bad of a personnel guy as you can get. Consider him as a coach sure but definitely not for a front office role (which there's no chance he'd consider anyways, chasing Shula's record).

I'd pay big money to have him not get any say in draft picks.

Someone already suggested bringing Saban aboard to help with Bryce Young.

Saban's a defensive guy.   And he has no attachment to players.   He would just move on from Bryce if it wasn't working.

….and….this would be a bad thing…. Smile

I mean that wouldn't be a bad thing.  But I don't get why people are painting him some Bryce Young fanboy that could fix him.  Saban isn't an O guy.  And Saban will kick anyone to the curb for better results.

I mean Hurts went undefeated in the regular season and to the Natty every year for him......and he demoted him for something he thought was better.   And Hurts has all the leadership traits and is a textbook robot in front of a mic.  Even in college.  You would basically use him in a course of how a QB should act.

Nick Saban would have benched Bryce Young for Andy Dalton.

    • Another source: NFL Rumors: Hakeem Butler to Visit Panthers After UFL Success, Wade Phillips' Praise ZACH BACHAR JUNE 10, 2024 The Carolina Panthers are expected to conduct a workout with UFL wide receiver Hakeem Butler, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Butler recorded a league-leading 652 receiving yards as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks. He was previously a fourth-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. After the Battlehawks were defeated by the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL Conference title game, Brahmas head coach and longtime NFL coach Wade Phillips told the receiver that "I'm going to tell everybody in the NFL that I talk to that you need to be playing," via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Despite the loss by St. Louis, Butler still hauled in six receptions for a team-high 59 receiving yards. The 28-year-old was named the 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year, as he was one of only two wideouts to have multiple games with at least 100 receiving yards. While the Panthers added Diontae Johnson and first-round rookie Xavier Legette to their wide receiver room in the offseason, they could still use some depth in the form of Butler. Carolina isn't opposed to picking up former UFL players, as Rapoport revealed on Thursday that the team is also "expected" to sign All-UFL receiver Daewood Davis. Although Butler was selected by the Cardinals in the 2019 draft, he did not play as a rookie due to a hand injury and only appeared in two regular-season games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. He did not record a catch. Butler signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2023 offseason, although he ultimately didn't make the team's regular-season roster. At 6'5", he has the frame to potentially make an impact in training camp and earn a shot at making Carolina's 53-man roster. If his workout goes well with the Panthers, Butler could give himself another chance to possibly return to the NFL.
    • They have all the rookies. The DC game has Ron though. With the new QB. It is weird.  pantherclaw, Bryce sort of is what he is, and in Madden he makes throws the real Bryce can’t make. Here and there. He ain’t ain’t a top QB in Madden though, lots of picks. aone of them lol was the throw that scares the hell out of me when he throws it, out to the boundary... quack quack.
