Something that amazes me is how insanely open these Packers WRs are. I saw the same phenomenon on some of the plays with with the Texans in the regular season.

Seeing the Panthers struggle so much with separation and seeing other teams have dudes almost all alone on a section on the field makes me blame the offensive scheme a LOT. Theres not THAT much of a difference in separation just from raw speed alone.

I honestly don't see it. He hits the throws I expect him to hit. He rarely misses when there's a throw there that you expect an NFL QB to hit. But he also rarely makes a plus player where you're like "oh wow, that was special". I call that a game manager. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It's most certainly not a bad thing for the last pick in the draft. A lot of teams wish they had a good game manager. It only becomes a potential bad thing once the Niners have to entertain paying him like a legit franchise QB. You can't do that  if he's carrying a cap hit that forces you to make business decisions elsewhere on your roster he goes from a positive to a negative.

      How short a leash will Young be on?

      I don’t know about that….when we drafted him I basically conceded we would largely be playing small ball.  That’s just what I have always thought Bryce was going to be.  A dink and dunk PG.  Playing a version of old Drew Bree’s’ game but maybe not that extreme.  To date, I think that’s supported.   Bryce might of thrown some deep balls on a stacked Bama roster in college but even then it wasn’t really his thing and his accuracy was bad.   He doesn’t have the NFL tools to really challenge downfield as part of his bread and butter in the NFL.  He isn’t going to be a chunk yardage.  Not sure why anyone would want to be trying that.  That’s not playing his strengths.   I just feel it’s more bad marriages. And we are doing what we do. Convincing ourselves it isn’t what it is.  But I do concede Canales is young and we don’t know his OC.  So maybe they will switch it up and not be what we have seen from then.  I just think Leggette is a sign that it isn’t the case.
