His measured height is 6’0 not 6’3. I don’t know how THAT much difference is falsely listed unfortunately

He is taller than 6'0. Im 6'1 and he is taller than myself. My kid is a big fan of his and he is super cool with kids. Standing up next to him a few times, I dont think he is 6'3 but he is slightly taller than me. Muscled like crazy for his age. Looks like a David Boston without the performance enhancing drugs. Great young man and amazing attitude. Very humble

I saw Brugler saying he is a bit overrated and belongs more in the third round due to sloppy route running etc.

That makes me feel like an expert because I noticed that watching practice today--we don't need people who can't run routes--that means you are raw or difficult to coach.  He has the tools.

I was impressed with Georgia's Ladd McConkey today.

Selfishly would love to grab Tez Walker at the top of the 2nd. Heard he's been tearing it up at the Senior Bowl so far.

He is a sleeper because he had that weird season--he could become a star, but I see him as a late second/early third guy right now.  His rating may change after this week.

Getting a crisp route runner is super important for an anticipation thrower like Young. We need guys that can get to the right spot, on time, consistently. Right now it seems like we have either guys who run good routes but take forever to get there (Thielen), or guys that have enough speed but crappy route running (Chark), or both slow and bad route running (Mingo).

Watch Ricky Pearsall. He's running the best routes at the Senior Bowl practices. I just hope his draft stock doesn't rise too much & he can be had by the 3rd/4th round.

I’m not buying Legette getting past round 2. He’s a monster and would bring us what DJ Moore did most seasons. His route running looks just fine below.

I have just seen a few clips of him and looked at his measurables on paper.  I am going to assume Canales likes the big WR after having Evans. So he may be the guy.  As time rolls on, the details will come out.  FWIW, I was born in Columbia while my dad was a Gamecock Tight End, so I have a small network of legacy cocks that communicate a lot.  The theory is that Rattler found Legette a lot and became his #1 target.  He had a great year, and they wonder just how good he would have been with a top QB.  Some say that he would not have been as good unless Rattler was QB, that if a QB who read the defenses well were under center, the ball would have gone to other WRs more often--Gamecock or egg?  not sure

As an avid mock drafter, I can say that I often fall in love with players early in the process and that causes me to overlook other talents.  I am trying to stay objective about Legette, but it is difficult.

It would be worth it for all the “he’s legit” jokes we could use

I read an article on him--second round grade--but they said that he would go in the first round if Al Davis were still alive--going after the size/speed ratio players (ineffectively).  I am less impressed than before after watching day 1 of the SR bowl practices, but he is having a better day today.

I dont like Leggett at all personally.  Even more so now that he measured 2" shorter than listed, with average to short arms and small hands.  He has all the negatives mingo had in a smaller package.  No seperation on film, might run faster than he is on film but hes not fast on film which is where it matters.  A guy i was really against pre sr bowl was Ladd Mcconkey but he has looked really quick and crisp so far.  Maybe redundant with Thielen but hes much faster and quicker than Thielen is now and I just want guys that can get open.   Watch some of his 1v1s from today.   Wr will usually win 1v1 but still.

Looks plenty fast on film to me in the first clip of this video:

    • This draft is 2023 all over again, it's not hard to see. QB's who don't grade out as high first round prospects while at the same time, the following draft class looks to be loaded with elite QB prospects. Drafting a QB just because you need one (or making a bad trade to make said draft pick), when there isn't one worthy of that draft pick, is how you ruin franchises, just look at us right now.
    • I upgraded to the S24+ a few weeks back. Very happy with it.
    • LOL... Yet again proving you can't look below anything than what you see on the surface Mock drafts ARE NOT draft grades They are what people think will happen.  They are mocking teams taking QB's in the top 5 of the draft because that's just historically how drafts go regardless of the grades on the QBs.  Almost every draft expert, even those mocking QB's going high, have said time and time again that none of these QB's actually grade out as those type of picks. This is again, where I say you don't like to actually read what I have to say, because I already explained it. 2022 the exact same thing happened, mock drafts had guys like Pickett and Willis going in the Top 5 because that's just what teams usually do, but GM's listened to their prospect grades and knew they weren't worth taking that high, so they didn't. It's not to say QB's won't go that high this year, but it's to say that they aren't graded out as elite QB prospects.   And yes, I've never said I'm not a T-Mac homer. But me being that doesn't change that he will be the highest graded offensive player in this year's draft, at a position we haven't been able to solve since we lost Smitty.  Taking him makes all the sense in the world, my bias aside.
