Sure  maybe.  But not at 100%.  That's the point

I don't think that is much of a knock other than he may not see action right away.  The talent is undeniable so it's all good. We weren't the only team going to take him where he was selected you know. They jumped Dallas, who wanted him badly and the Giants who were going to screw Dallas and take him also. So the concern over the injury was not really a concern after all.  I'm good with it.

That's per Brooks himself in his intro presser too.  He sounds ready to go.

So many Huddle doctors on here apparently. Every injury is different with different rehab and turn around time. Hell Rodgers blew his achilles and could have played in the post season if needed.

Yup.  I'll take the player himself's word for it haha

How do you figure he will redshirt for a year? All indications are he will be ready for training camp.

I just don't want him on a low snap count all year. I hope you're right but I fear they're using Sanders as a premium insurance policy.

Sanders is only here because his contract dictate it. He will get the majority of rotation snaps until they feel Brooks is ready to go full speed. Whenever that is Sanders will be benched unless he shows out this season. Brooks will eventually replace someone. My bet its Sanders and not Blackshear.

    • On the surface given our struggles I get why people would initially hear this and be apprehensive. But we do need players being vocal and being confident and speaking up. That is what builds a culture. Especially when it involves young players getting opportunities which was not always a thing with past coaches. But the head coach still needs to assert authority and take ownership of his group and make smart decisions on gamedays. It's gonna be a long season so we might as well just let it play out and revisit this later.
    • He can’t.  Not by NFL standards.  More than enough evidence at this stage to make that determination.  For even a chance at one Bryce has to get a perfect look and that’s not NFL football.   His weak arm gets nerfed too much when you get him off an ideal setup.  Bryce’s ball placement and accuracy are horrible downfield.  That applied at Bama.  Bama WRs just had room to adjust.  Bryce defenders just repeat this lie about his Bama deep ball.  NFL balls have to be well placed to dudes only NFL open.  Bryce leads the NFL is bad throw % since arriving.  His accuracy and balls are garbage vs his peers.  Countless plays for years where dudes are NFL open downfield and Bryce just lets the DB have just as good as a shot at it or takes the WR out of bounds.  It’s not a debate.  Dudes flat out open this year on repeat.  He can’t make the throws.  So the talk about not having speed is auto debunked and a distraction.  Open is open and Bryce has gotten the looks
    • In 2021, Young only completed 10 passes of 20 yards or more, resulting in a 36.1% completion rate on such throws, according to AL.com. This was significantly less than other Alabama quarterbacks like Mac Jones in 2020 (29 completions, 58%) and Tua Tagovailoa in 2018 (24 completions, 57.1%).
