Not elite speed, but has the footwork to keep up. Captain was a 4.51. The more I watch the more it seems like the comparison might fit. Technically sound, great feet. Punches above his weight at the line and can tackle. Go watch a few videos and you’ll like what you see. Size is the obvious reason for his fall.

Well...if you feel ok with that.... FYI CJ Henderson ran 4.39 ...

Yes and he was 9th overall. For me 4.54 isn't slow for a CB, now if you to comment on his short arms, which make you look slower.

richard Sherman was a 4.6 guy by my members unit. I think he was a 5th too.

Hell 40 times are mainly who worked on the the starting blocks 95% of the time.

Ill have to watch the senior bowl stuff to see if he plays slow.

Teams use game speed as their measuring stick. That's what matters anyway.

One fact that many didn't know about captain was he had like a 400 LB bench. Now I think benching is trash and worthless, but for a 180 LB guy ....... that's a big reason why captain was great in press coverage, you're not going to move him off your spot....

troy Hill made chinn sit the bench and I hope he's willing to coach up wade....

Yep, 4 seconds and forty yards is forever for most nfl plays. Tenths of seconds of difference in the 40 tell only part of the story (and it seems like always an overblown part this time of year). Someone posted a video earlier in the week that mentioned that there’s only been 1 1,000 yard receiver (Santana moss) out of the last top 20 or so 40 times.

He seems to be a small Donte Jackson with an attitude. He could play in the slot but seems too short to play against taller receivers on the outside. I like the dog in him but wish it were a pit bull instead of a beagle.

He at least looks above some recent King Charles cavaliers we’ve been drafting lol

    • The year he had another edge rusher opposite him in Reddick, Reddick ended up having more sacks. Burns was good at rushing the passer here but he was taken out of plays far too often by a single TE or you'd never even known he was in the game at all.  The Rams offer was equivalent to prime Khalil Mack or a TJ Watt. Those guys single handedly took over games and stopped drives. I can't remember a game Burns ever did that. Do we wish we had the level of production hes giving right now? Of course. Do I think we'd have it here. No.  At the time, his production was on par with Reddick, not Parsons. Pay production and incentivise potential.
    • Technically our guys are in the top 6 in sacks for rookies and Scourton is tied for the lead.
    • That's why so many said he wasn't worth it here, there was only DB and it wasn't enough. If Burns is feasting then the other guys in NY are doing enough already, Burns is just collecting the stats. It's what he eas built for and is finally in his perfect space to succeed. Im not as in on the new guys yet. More is an understatement but the good news is that they are rookies.
