New Matt Moore Video

Not fond of the song for a video like this, but excellent highlights. Gets me pumped to see Moore as the starter for a full season.

Not his best song but I love the band Daugherty (he can flat out sing). Wouldn't that suck though, playing for a band named after the lead singer. Its bad enough when they usually get all the limelight anyway. Anyway good vid.

good video.

i did notice one thing that has been bugging me a little. every time he throws that ball he taps it with his left hand. that's something he's going to have to work on. defenders are going to pick up on that a lot. of course it is something that he could use to sell fakes but i don't know how much control he has over that.

i think he will do well but that one thing could mean a few extra INTs.

Ha I do that too, of course in a slightly different situation (backyard ball).

Good vid, horrible song. Just not my style of music I guess.

Moore's mechanics do look awkward at times, but he seems like he's pretty damn accurate and mobile. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do, if by week 8 his TD:INT ratio is atleast 3:2 I'll be ecstatic. At the end of week 8 in 2005, Delhomme was 13:8, and he ended 24:16, exactly 3:2.

I'll buy a Moore jersey if he does this and I don't see why it isn't possible. As long as Moore doesn't turn the ball over, we're set.

Can we all make a collective confession here?

Steve Smith pulled Antoine Winfield down on that 3rd and 26 touchdown pass

It's difficult to see, but I've looked at it a bunch of times from all the angles they show. Smith uses his right hand to pull Winfield's left arm and since he's already a little off balance going for the ball, he goes right down. Smith won the day, but if we're being honest, Winfield had a legitimate complaint on the play.

Not complaining. It's the kind of thing a good receiver gets away with. And if it doesn't get called, that's part of the game. Lord knows we've had non-calls go against us too.

Just sayin... :sosp:

    • I have a hard time imagining us making any changes mid-season no matter how bad it gets. Tepper is impulsive. But a) there's nothing to be gained by making a change 3 weeks into a season, you're already signaling your season is over. Is someone really going to step in at this point and turn things around? Anyone in the league? Or even CFB, because I don't think Bellichick could step in and right this ship. So the best we could hope for, is someone like Wilks to step in, boost morale enough to win a few meaningless games and ruin our chances at a top pick, and then have the wheels fall off again. And b) Tepper has proven that he is capable of learning some lessons. We really haven't heard much out of that clown recently. Certainly not as much as we used to the first few seasons. And by this I mean I think he knows he has a reputation. And no quality coach wants to go and work for the impulsive, meddlesome owner who repeatedly fires coaches midseason. We've already got to be the least attractive landing spots in the NFL with the absolute dearth of talent, conditioning, and playing surface that will keep players healthy. So the best thing to do is at least pretend that he's ready to stay out of the way. So either way, IMO the smart play is you let this play out all season.  Let these suckers go down with the ship, and if a regime change is needed, you wait til the end of the season to make a change.
