Ewers isn't exactly doing himself any favors tonight either.

The Texas staff seems to love him. Gonna be awkward if he decides to come back next year and I honestly don't see him being a 1st or 2nd rounder. He just doesn't have any wow factor and has a significant injury history. Arch has been patient but I can't him sitting for another year.

Yeah no chance Milroe goes in the 1st.

He will be a project QB for some team.

I personally now think he should actually stay in school.

Then again, as much as he's declined the last three games, he's still no worse than Richardson, who only dropped to the 4th pick. He will still go in the 1st and probably will go in the top 15. QBs get that benefit of the doubt now.

Stop looking at stat sheets and watch games

?

Are you saying that his tape looks markedly worse than Richardson's--at least enough for the draft hype machine? Richardson's assets were his metrics but he was (is) quite raw. Seems that's the case with Milroe as well? The metrics are what will probably see him drafted higher than he should be.

Like I said, I think he needs to stay in school though.

Yeah, his tape is considerably worse than Richardson's. Richardson to me looked like a slightly less erratic version of Josh Allen in college while playing against a considerably higher level of competition. It's tough to understate how bad the Florida receivers were. Every game you turn on was drop city. If you're drafting them off of just sheer raw physical talent, Richardson ranks considerably higher than Milroe there too. Pure raw talent, Allen, Richardson, and Lamar Jackson honestly are head and shoulders above the rest of the pack post-Cam. Yeah, even Mahomes. That dude is a damn magician. His running success doesn't come from raw ability the guy just seems to have a damn fifth sense about how set defenders up to get by then either with pump fakes or little jukes that look like some middle school player. It doesn't make any sense to me but damn it it works every single week so there's obviously something to it. LOL

I can’t disagree more with this assessment.  Milroe has looked better more often than Richardson who is closing in on being a bust himself.  I don’t think Milroe is a consistent pro starter either and anyone looking for Lamar will be seriously disappointed.  I think Milroe is definitely farther along than Richardson at this point  in their careers.

    • I can't tell you what other's expect from him before they will start believing in him. I think for some, they will never be able to overcome his size. I think that is the fundemental problem for them which means they will never be happy with him behind center. For others, it seems he will have to be in the top 10% in pretty much every catagory and do that all seaon for them to start believing in him. Not everyone of course. There are people on this board that, while have doubts, can still acknowledge his good plays and are willing to give him another season. Those folks I would assume just want consistency - and wins. I could be off on all the above but that's kind of how I see it. And while you didn't ask, I will say I'm glad they picked up his 5th year option. He earned it. I do not think he should be signed to a long term contract yet. I do think he will develope in a franchise QB and will get the Panthers back into the playoffs and win them but I know I could be wrong. Next year will be the big test. If the offense continues to improve and they get back to the playoffs because of the offense, it will be time to sign him long term. If it's a repeat of this year, then it's time to look elsewhere for a QB. Like I said though, I believe he can be the guy so would be surprised if he doesn't make it.
    • Well since I am so biased, why don’t you tell us what he has to do to earn the trust of everyone that doubts him? If you say he has already done it, we really will never agree.
    • Also, do you think it a bit odd that the media has ignored it? Maybe they haven’t. But I am not aware of it being written or talked about.
