Would you take a chance on Cam Ward?

There is little doubt in my mind, and probably yours, Carolina will get the number 1 pick

carolina is dreadful

tomorrow, yet another step into dreadfulness

I will keep pointing out that #1 overall may be one of the toughest races in recent memory.

Ward didn't really impress tonight vs the Florida St defense.

He's also trying to stat pad late in this game. They should be running the clock out.

It's a rivalry game, son. You score, score and score again. They had 2 TOs remaining when the commentator was whining about Miami not kneeling.

Ward was efficient and didn't turn the ball over - we scored on 7 of 8 drives.

Pats will be looking to trade back so they can still get Tmac or Hunter. Maye is definitely their QB of the future.

IDK if we will see teams to be as desperate to trade up like that to get a QB. TBD.

The early FO/scout quotes seem to indicate that there isn't a ton of excitement about those QB's. It does only take one Tepper-like doofus to make that decision, though.

The ‘want to’ had to be there

Allen has that

Nfl is hard

…QBs  have to work at their craft constantly as opposed to, i dont know, watching Netflix, by themselves for a couple of months in the offseason

if Morgan drafts a qb, that ‘want to’ work on that craft above all else has to be there

To go along with his physical limitations Bryce is also not mentally capable. We know how insane Cam was during his time here and he had well more than enough physical tools. To succeed in the NFL at that size you have to be a completely different breed. Think Steve Smith type mentality. Bryce is the farthest thing from this that you could possibly be and has just gotten by on his ability to leave the pocket and make throws to 5* receivers on scramble plays. Turns out you can’t do that in the pros.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
