Quick question why are you guys using prime draft capital on Safety??

Yes fuller, woods, and Scott are FA(each signed for cheap 5mill per(around) deals)

Plus Demani Richardson has played games with like 30 tacks and look good in Pass plays.

Just to add/help/etc all the ST are FAs and just like safety I hate using draft picks on them but still.

Id also toss in the ring, WR is a big need even with XL and coker having rookie success(sophomore slump are a thing) and AT maybe cut.

God this team had too many holes.

bc Malachi Starks is the only safety in this class worth drafting and if he was there in the second he's 100% worth the pick

I think it will be hard to not go edge in the second if we go QB first. Say you have Starks, one of Bond/Egbuka, and maybe one Edge (don't have a name to throw out that is end of 1st round projected and may slide)... do you still go Starks? Just curious. I haven't looked into starks much, as I've been focused on QB, WR, and DL prospects.

yea if we don't get edge round 1 it would be hard to pass up in round 2 I agree.

Even if BY stays on positive course, I still feel using a mid-rounder on QB is the way.

Heavy Edge and I feel TE is a bigger need than most. Sanders is the only TE under contract.

BY, vet, lock, rookie, this team needs another starting level WR AND TE.

My main miss is C, you cannot fill all the holes and my plan would be FA, Mays, or cobert for cheap.

If Evero is back

3-4 OLB in Carter would be a terror.as the stand up edge LB.

Evero play’s a lot outside of his base and a lot of 3-3-5.  With all safeties hitting FA.  They get him this mismatch chess piece at the position

If Evero is gone and we bring in a DC that runs more of a 4-3.

instead of going for Carter at the top who would fit at 4-3 DE.  They opt to strengthen the middle of the DL the same way we did the OL last offseason

2nd: they take advantage of the depth of this edge class.  LT is a big athletic versatile beast who has probowl potential at 4-3 DE

    • For Bryce’s obvious shortcomings (bad pun), there is upside to his game. This isn’t being a homer or apologists, but I like to consider myself fair in criticism.  He’s far tougher than I ever thought he’d be. I really thought homie would have been broken in half by now. I don’t know how he’s not, but he’s not.  He is prone to turning the ball over early in games which digs a huge hole the team is not built to come back from, but dude DOES come up with crucial first down in crucial situations. It’s NEVER pretty, but he just kind of has the shining. He gets bailed out LOTS, and the team still loses games because of him, but he’s a bit of an enigma. He’s a turnover machine that is clutch in big moments.  He’s a smart/elusive cat. He kind of has to be with his limitations. His audibles are almost always correct and he understands coverages. I don’t see him getting fooled too frequently. His turnovers are almost never the ‘damnit Jake/Cam!’ brand we have been accustomed to. They are ALWAYS due to his size/strength limitations.  Strip sacks that shouldn’t be. Picks that happened because he just don’t got that NFL arm. He is still prone to panicking and the wheels can and do fall off at a much higher rate than his peers.  The team is winning on the backs of the defense, running game and special teams… but they’re winning, and unbelievably 1 game behind Tampa. As long as this is happening and Bryce doesn’t go full meltdown, Dave is going to keep him in. He is not getting pulled.
    • This was a terrible podcast. A bunch of uninformed homers that had worse takes than the bottom 10% of the Huddle. I listened to a handful of podcasts this past offseason in search of new Panthers material since John Ellis doesn't do his pod anymore and The 4 Man Rush don't either. Immediately deleted it after the handful I listened to. Truly terrible.
    • The NFC South was so bad it sent a team with a losing record to the Playoffs that year. Wilks had players playing hard at the end but let’s not act like that was a good season. That season hurts even more now that we see in hindsight how good our QB situation was. We just didn’t know it.
