Apparently it did no good. Getting spanked by the Wizards…again!

I've given up on them for the season and doubt I tune into another game. That BS with the kids and their Christmas wishes last week has made me really step back and take a longer look at the Hornets and NBA in general. I'd be willing to give the team a break on that and consider their excuse about a "rogue" employee being possible if they were playing well, but that's not happening.

The modern game of just chucking 3s isn't fun to watch either, especially when teams like Charlotte do it despite not having the shooters to play that style. The foul baiting and refs are another huge problem with today's NBA. The ever increasing gambling tie ins is another huge turnoff for me. The whole thing is just one giant poo sandwich and that's why ratings are down across the league.

I am all for firing Lee now and letting anyone else coach this team.

Devils Advocate here, how many coaches are we going to burn through before putting blame where it belongs, the overpriced babies we call players. It is them who seem to not care enough to play as a team.

Team defense has probably sailed. Someone like D'Antonio could at least instill a run and gun offense that would be entertaining. Honestly the whole NBA looks like a watered down All Star game at this point. It is unwatchable.

Unwatchable is right. The players are too focused on themselves to put a good product on the court. Unless you are one of the top teams, then you just run players in and out with the same results. None of them actually seem to care about the team or game any longer.

Jimmy Butler is an exception to this.

I get the criticism of Charles Lee to a point but we also need to discuss our GM and some of these signings like Miles Bridges. Seems like more often than not he's inconsistent at best. He's here because we were trying to appease LaMelo but I'm just over this mess. Everyone outside of LaMelo Miller Salaun and Mark Williams should be trade fodder. Blow up the rest of this poo roster.

There's not a player on the roster that I wouldn't trade if the price is right and that definitely includes Ball. His laissez faire attitude is a large part of the problem when it comes to the team and culture. And for a guy that is the highest paid member of the team by a very large margin and supposedly its leader, that's inexcusable.

I don't know you could end up being right but I'm beginning to wonder if this franchise is just snakebit or cursed. Much moreso than the Panthers. At least the Panthers have had success and been to two Super Bowl's. Other than the brief highs in the early years and the 90's this franchise has been dead in the water for so long it's wild. Going on 24 years without a playoff series win. And what's crazy is there are other small market teams that have done remarkably more in short timespans compared to us and with debatable differences in talent levels.

Idk if there's anything or anyone that can alter course for this franchise at this point. Just the honest truth.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
