Who wants Bryce to fail?

Just raise your hand here so you don’t have to ruin every positive thread when Panthers win. 

It’s one thing to be critical of Bryce when he deserves it but some of the hate on this board is just weird.  Stop trying to sugar coat it and admit you don’t want Bryce to do anything well because you have moved on forever and are looking to confirm your bias regarding his NFL future 

I wanted him benched too but every time he steps on the field I want him to succeed and do well. He still has a long ways to go but I think he can be a Brock Purdy type of QB with the right pieces around him.  And yes Purdy was not the top QB selected in the draft but 49ers gave up a haul for Trey Lance. You take the hand you’re dealt and don’t think about the sunk cost.

Giants defense was ranked 9th against the pass.  Their offense sucks but their defense is much better than ours

Very few actively want him to fail. But many recognize his very limited ceiling and feel that applauding 125 yards against the Giants, or any of these recent weeks, as 'improvement' is ludicrous. Sure, it's better than he was, but dude was playing D3 football in the NFL those first weeks of this season.

If your best game was 126 yards passing vs the Giants then I don't need to root for you to fail.

 

You already failed if this is one of your better games as a pro. Talk to me after we get humbled by the Chiefs next week.

I see Caleb Williams playing like crap with much better weapons so not sure what stats Bryce should have throwing to rookies. I judge his progress mainly on his confidence in the pocket and going through progressions. Looks much improved, the stats will come when the rookies aren’t rookies anymore

He was crowned played of the game when Chuba clearly put that offense on his back and carried them down the field over and over again.

Serious question for the box score folks? Did you actually watch the game or are you criticizing purely off 125 yards? An if you did watch the game, what would you say Bryce did poorly?

Bryce is the perfect example of the sunk cost fallacy if we keep him as the starter next year. Nice guy, but we need to move on to better things
