The Bucs are so much better than their record, and down Godwin/Evans. Baker is absolutely balling out this year

Some of the plays he made on that last drive to tie up the game were ridiculous

Probably the best of his career. He’s been really damn good this year

I’ve always been a Baker fan. Might not win a Super Bowl with him but he can be a good QB if he’s not placed in a circus (Cleveland/Carolina)

People made way too much of Baker not being a good QB. He was a good QB in Cleveland for a while and in difficult conditions. He was never NOT going to be a starting caliber NFL QB.

I am not surprised by how he is doing there because he has shown he can do this before.

Panthers fans only see our disaster and assume it's the player that is at fault.

Baker is playing well, but their team overall is very inconsistent.  Wins over Detroit and Washington, very bad home losses to Denver and Atlanta.  But they have had a rough schedule.  They are fortunate that five of their last six games are against teams with losing records.  But losing twice to Atlanta really hurts their chance at the division.

Panthers go 5-2

Falcons go 2-5 or 1-6

Falcons only have 2 wins against teams outside of the NFC South teams and one of them is the imploding Cowboys. With only 1 more game against the NFC South (Panthers), it's possible the Falcons collapse. Broncos, Chargers, Vikings, and Commanders are all likely losses for the Falcons. Raiders may be a revenge game for Ridder. Giants are a likely win for the Falcons.

Panthers would need to beat the Falcons and Bucs. I can see them beating a tanking Cowboys team. The Panthers would need to upset the Chiefs, Cardinals, or Eagles.

That would be insane if the Panthers and Falcons go into the final week of the season at 7-9. Playing for the division title? Andy Dalton would need to be starting with Thielen returning and Brooks showing up as the best from the rookie class for any hope of a division title.

Let's make this season a little bit exciting right now. Over the next 4 weeks, we're looking for a 4 game losing streak for the Falcons with 3 more straight losses and a Panthers win over the Bucs with an upset of the undefeated Chiefs or Eagles.

There is no real risk of the Panthers turning this around. What we should hope to see is the team be competitive in most of the remaining games and the further development of our younger players(Coker, Sanders, Chuba, XL, Wallace, Ikey, Horn, etc). These are guys that we need to become a core that can be built around.

And maybe some veterans like Wonnum show they can be a part of the future here.

    • Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15
    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
