Yes, you misunderstood because you aren't that sharp. So, basically, if you aren't lightspeed retarded you don't assume that draft picks will pan out. Because of that, you hope that possibly a pick will be okay

Dummy you said don't get so fixated on the position that you don't  draft a qb and any qb 

Then turn around and say we have the next dozen drafts to try..don't get mad at me cuz you didn't make sense. Don't pass that dumbassness off of me lol

Yes, hence the "don't get fixated." When QB needy becomes QB desperate, you trade up to get Bryce Young. 

Did we trade up to get Cam? Did we have to do any draft magic to get Jake? How about Steve Beuerlein?

There is more than one way to skin this cat so being desperate and stupid isn't going to do anything but fail over and over. 

Just like it did with Bryce.

You will never get an argument from me defending using future picks and trading up. The absolute worst thing you can do in my book is trade future picks and that goes 1000 times for a 1st. I won't complain about a 6th or 7th that much but keep your fuging hands off of the major assets.

We were burned so bad by this Bryce insanity that it is easy to extend the anti taking a QB high to a single pick. Even every single pick in the 2023 draft isn't as bad as what was done. 

I don't think the setback from a miss is really that damaging if it is a single pick lost no matter how high it might be.

Jags play Titans twice, Raiders and Jets

Jets and Dolphins play twice still 

Cleveland and Miami play but Cleveland will most likely lose out 

Vegas still has to play the rest of the NFC south 

Giants will lose out

Patriots play Miami and the Colts

Cowboys play Giants and us

Point is there are still a lot of wins to go around just by these bad teams playing each other. However, one more win or god forbid 2 and we’ll be at or around 10

      We’re in a pickle. My best hope is we protect him and can run the ball vs most Ds and the WRs are healthy so he has every chance to not look like what he looked like in too many games last year.

      I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.

      Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
