NFL picks Week 12: Experts predict total dominance by Chiefs over Panthers

The Kansas City Chiefs are heavy favorites over the Carolina Panthers this week according to everybody and their respective mothers.

You can always find a homer who will pick their team to win against anybody any given week in the NFL. However, nobody in their right mind is actually expecting the Carolina Panthers to pull off an upset against the Kansas City Chiefs this week.

Me. I'm that person picking Panthers to win. Every week, every time.

(how's that working out?  Meh... some weeks are better than others)

Taylor Swift could potentially come to town to watch a football game. What a historic day!

That might be the most insulting thing I've ever heard said about Charlotte. It's not like it's some backwater small town. If Taylor Swift came here to catch a HS game that would be pretty damn historic. Coming to an NFL City to see an NFL game? Historic? LOL

For the silly people that worship her it will be that.

The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
