I still don't understand how Evero has been supposedly going rogue all this time and Canales hasn't stepped in. If Evero is part of the problem then so is Canales for allowing it to continue.

Probanly not as involved as he should be. He needs to give up OC responsibilities. He ain't ready to be OC and HC.

The same defense that kept us competitive the past several weeks and now we are crapping all over it.  How about an offense that put up only 14 points of which 7 of them came on busted play that allowed Coker to run straight down field uncovered?

Neither unit played well today. Particularly in the 2nd half. Just not a good team all around.

Defense “kept us in the game” is really reaching

Philly scored 22 points and avg 6.7 yards a carry.

im Not going to argue against you that the offense was bad today.

They were a pile of poo.

The defense was decent in the first half. But the Cowboys were killing themselves in the first half too.

I wouldn’t even say that.

The only reason we stopped them on the 1st drive was because a penalty called back a 25 yard pass and pushed them back.  They went 3 and out the next drive.  But, they drove down every drive after that in the 1st half short field or not.  They had 2 drives in the 1st half of 50+ yards on 9+ plays per drive

In prior games, with exception to KC, our opponents have been held to 23 points or fewer since the Bryce "resurgence". If that threshold is too much of an ask for our offense, then maybe it's not the defense that's the real problem.

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
