Hot Take: This team will never get over the hump, until we move on from Bryce.

What routes are they throwing Bryce isn’t rn? Develop leggette who’s already getting 8 targets a game he can’t do anything with? Or the UDFA possession receiver who runs a 4.6?

Bryce just threw a seam shot touchdown on the edge of the red zone then threw a 45 yard dime of a deep ball for a touchdown. And you’re still acting like he’s Teddy two gloves

If you think Bryce has the ability to fire the line drive rope throws that someone like Jameis or Wentz can throw, then I have some Arizona beachfront property to sell you.

Bryce has to have a perfectly clean pocket to step into and make a perfect throw to get the ball 50 yards down the field, at least 20 other starting QB's in this league can make that throw off base and with just the flick of a wrist.

If people want to believe Bryce can still be a good QB in this league, that's their prerogative, I'd disagree, but people can still think it.  However, even those people have to understand and admit that he just doesn't have even an average starting QB arm for the NFL.  Short of him starting to take steroids and bulk up like crazy, he'll always have one of the weakest arms of all starting QB's in the league, and that's not debatable.

Sorry just saying I don’t see a clear replacement for us to get this off season and BY at the least has done enough to still have a intriguing future… I agree we need to add “a serious “ WR 1 option and maybe another TE.. To get a clear picture..

I don't even think it needs to be a WR1 or X type. Just a guy or two that can consistently catch the ball, and make people miss and gain yards after the catch. That or get a guy in FA like Higgins or Wilson.

It really looks like JT gets open regularly, but Bryce tends to force to Thielen on those plays instead now. It feels like JT got alot more looks from Bryce before Thielen came back.

No good WR wants Scrappy Doo Bryce young throwing to them... we'll have to over pay for a mediocre one....

If Thielen can produce with Bryce, then I'm sure a legitimate #1 WR can as well.

We're barely avoiding being the worst team in the league for a 2nd straight season WITH Young on a cheap rookie deal. We move forward with him as a franchise QB, wait until he's asking for $50 mill a year (and he will) and see how the team looks like then.

After 2 seasons if Bryce,  I may have to rethink my Panthers watching habit next season if he's still here. Canales needs to bring competition.  Huddlers getting giddy over Bryce barely reaching Daltons potential,  just sad out look.

Gave him an elite OLine, a top running back in Hubbard, Thielen balling out of his mind, a young rookie in Coker looking very promising... and we couldn't beat a single team with a winning record all year.

Elite Oline is a stretch. I keep seeing untouched sacks let alone speed rushers feasting on our tackles

It’s kind of weird timing you’ve been obsessed with Young getting cut over the last two weeks when his QB rating is top-10 in the NFL.

do you honesty believe in your heart of hearts he is currently a top 10 qb?  Forget the ratings do you actually believe that?

    • I get it's subjective and I said "PFF rated him as" one of the top deep ball passers during that time, which is an accurate statement.  They are still a group of professionals that look at film and data in order to make their judgements/ratings.  These people whose data has been incorporated into a lot of teams' staffs view Bryce's deep throws as some of the best in the league during that stretch.  That tells me that he can probably throw a deep pass vs the Huddle's version of he is small and didn't do it his rookie year so he must not be able to.  That and literally seeing him do it just makes me feel he is more than capable of doing so.   Do you think PFF is skewing their opinion to prop up a QB in a bottom tier franchise?  It's just another group's opinion and I feel is pretty respected around the league currently.  It's not the gospel truth or anything.
    • I still remember how happy I was that gettlegut was not the GM once he picked Jones, that was a firing pick and well..... If not for the raiders drafting Clelin Ferrell, it was the biggest draft day mistake in the last 20 some years.
    • He had 251 passing yards. 3 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. All in all a very impressive game. Problem is I do not envision his rushing ability translating like that over the course of the upcoming season. Yeah it will be something to account for from time to time but one it's not sustainable and two you don't want to put his durability to the ultimate test against a motivated defender willing to take a penalty and a fine. And plus with our backfield. Two 1k yard rushers. That's what they're here for. Then we have a much improved WR room. That means Bryce has to elevate those passing numbers substantially. The fact of the matter is regardless of circumstances it did take him 23 games to surpass Kyle Allen's single season passing yardage from 13 games in 2020. And that is not a high bar by any means. Whatever QB tier Bryce ends up in from here amongst his peers this upcoming season when it's all said and done it will be with his arm.
