Fowler is legit.

If you had asked me prior to yesterday, I'd have said I think he's going back. All indications now though or that he will take one of the available jobs.

If it's true that he doesn't want to face Dan Campbell twice a year, then the Jaguars seem like the most logical choice but who knows?

But these are guys referring to RAIDERS insiders.

Chance to cement your legacy as a GM by building a team around a great young qb, or go to a team that doesn't appear to have much of a shot of getting a qb this year.  I know what my choice would be.

More from Albert Breer on that front...

I think OC Ben Johnson is much more ready to take a job now than he was the past couple of years. I don’t know if losing the way Detroit did might lure him back for one last run with Campbell, but I do know his interest in the Las Vegas Raiders, Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars jobs is real—and Newmark’s emergence as a GM candidate with the Raiders is proof positive of how serious Johnson is (Tom Brady’s been a difference-maker in Vegas’s pursuit).

I said the same thing about the emotion of the loss possibly causing Johnson to go back for one more year, but most of the chatter seems to be saying that's not gonna happen.

Well he botched that whole thing then.  He had the best gig possible begging for him last year, and he ghosted them.  Now he's gonna work for Mark Davis or Shad Khan?  Lmao what an idiot.

Alright, Caleb. Whatcha got? This dude made Jared Goff look like a borderline MVP candidate.

It was the best job of this cycle. Stacked roster, not a complete idiot of an owner and has a potential QB ON A ROOKIE DEAL. This was such a no-brainer. Plus the Bears GM isn't an idiot like most of the openings.

Goff also doesn’t hold onto the ball for 8 seconds and had a good OL from Johnson’s first day in the job. It will be interesting to see what he’ll do with crap rb and OL

I am like 90% sure that this Johnson/Caleb pairing will blow up in the Bears' face. Johnson seems to me like your classic great coordinator, bad HC and Caleb is a bust. Maybe they'll make me look like an idiot though.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
