Interesting, never thought about it until just now, but these new kickoff rules could really screw teams over in a snow game like this if the kicker just isn't physically able to get a proper run up, plant, and kick to get it to the landing zone.

The Bills were the 9th best rushing team this year

Lamar had 915 yards rushing this year and is anything but a power runner (what you need in the snow) who's running game is 100% predicated on his speed and ability to cut and make defenders miss.

In no way are the Bills more affected by a snow game than the Ravens are because of what it does to Lamar's threat to run.

agree to disagree man, not gonna bother continuing to go back and forth

Derrick Henry?

I said that in my other post, that yes, it does help Henry because of his power game.

But removing Lamar's running threat hurts them on the whole more than they're helped by Henry's power running game.  Especially since it then allows the Bills to really focus on Henry and don't need to worry about Lamar quite as much because the snow would slow him down.

It basically means the Bills would no longer need to spy Lamar and it gives them an extra man in the box to focus on stopping Henry.

Like I said before, it's a net negative even though there is one positive for them with Henry in the snow.

While at the same time, the snow probably also helps the Bills running game more, because good luck tackling Allen in those conditions when he runs too.  So if it adds to the threat of Allen running but hurts Lamar's running threat, it's another net positive for the Bills.

There will only likely be 10-15 of those guys in the league at a given time.

There are 16 currently at $40 mil or more AAV.

Exactly. A lot of these teams are handicapping themselves tying up way too much cap space into QBs that aren't good enough to justify it. You're better off building up a better roster around a guy on a rookie deal.

Rams just can't hold onto the ball, has absolutely killed them and is inexcusable even in the snow. I guess hold them to a FG now and they still have a chance but I can't see the Rams getting a TD at this point.

    • Unfortunately business is business especially when there are large sums of money on the table. Goes the same for player and ownership. Does not make it right either way.  Why would he not want to play for the niners? Closer to home with a team that has a chance of delivering a SB trophy.
    • I don’t know if it’s him bad mouthing his former situation in public or my pettiness but either way I’m not a fan. Dude was on playoff teams getting paid millions to entertain. I’m not better that because and I am better than that. You don’t bad mouth your former employer in public. Esp after getting over paid and two, poor little Russian baby didn’t get the playing spot he wanted. Rod had him exactly where is was supposed to be.  He had a mean lip check and did defend our players. Specifically the devils game around Christmas where is our Haula on his ass. Cool. Thank you. But don’t talk poo about us. Because it make you look like Haula.    “need to get as far away as possible”. fug off. Didn’t see Burnsy bad mouthing and his play dropped off too.    sorry, but Orlov doesn’t get a pass from me. See you twice a year…
    • I don't really care about your post at all. I just saw the direction of the discussion and this snippet from an article I read earlier in the day was a good spot to put non-Panthers info. I mostly don't care about the players personal lives. That's off the field/personal poo. Not really any of my business.  I also don't know him personally so what would be the point of congratulating him outside basically attempting to draw attention to myself like so many in the social media/internet realm.
