I will say that TE is more of a need than most seem to realize, and a good receiving TE could reduce the need for a WR but it does not stretch the field that much--however, only Kyle Pitts (to the best of my memory) was drafted higher than 8th (4th).  Brock Bowers--the best TE I have seen coming out of college-- was the 13th pick. 

With our needs (edge, DT) you are foolish for shopping for a TE in round 1 when they are available later.  You can find a good TE late--we did last year.

I saw a TE/HBack at the SR bowl and he seemed like a stud--from Ga Tech--Hawes.  Heck, he might not even get drafted, but he seemed like he could run FB, H back, had good hands--If you get some time, watch some of his video.

and Falcon's fans consider him a bust.  Apparently he doesn't  really care about football, and is not engages.  They want to trade him for a 3rd or 4th.  No to Top 10 TEs.

That was a red flag coming out of college.  Dudes can be extremely athletically gifted, but if their heart isn't in it, all that size, speed and talent is completely pointless.

I'd originally wanted to see a DE or LB with this pick, but if he's available and our pick at 8, I'm going to be happy with it. Big TE ... will be nearly the size of Gronk with Greg Olsen's brains... that could go a long way for us.

I disagree. Warren, though a TE, is one of the several players in this draft that truly deserves his first round grade. He is an exclamation point in my opinion. He is basically a can't-miss. I can't say that about any other TE in this draft (not saying that there won't be any other, but it's too easy to miss the farther you get away from the top picks). That being said, you shouldn't necessarily go shopping for a TE in the first, but, in this draft, if Warren is still available while you're on the clock, he must be strongly considered. In my opinion, his ceiling is legitimately a top 5 TE in the league (with the real opportunity to be an historical talent).

There is no such thing as a "Cant miss"

Yeah, that old saying is theoretically true depending upon how you look at it, but if you look at many guys' careers after-the-fact, you can actually say they were can't miss. 

In any event, Warren has the talent, the skill, the smarts, and the desire to play the game, and it showed when his name was called. I'm not going to be the one betting against him, as I've seen what he can do, and I would hate to see him on the Saints. That's all I can tell you. Look that gift horse in the mouth at your own peril.

the point was that there have been quite recently as many as 3 prospects ranked higher that have completely fizzled out and shown they were not worth a first round pick.  There are a handful of others that have been ranked close to warren that show the same.  Calling him a cant miss prospect is pretty dumb.  He is not some generational talent.

You don't know what he is. Secondly, those are not some consensus "rankings," they are grades by analysts or an analyst. Perhaps they have improved over the years (I don't know), but one reason why I stopped giving the draft profiles on NFL.com the highest priority is because I noticed that their information was dated on more profiles that I could count. It appears that they no longer include a date on the analysis (which is probably smart, considering the look). But, Lance Zierlein has had his name on these for years.

Make sure you keep that same energy when Warren is killing teams on a weekly basis. I wonder what said in this discussion will be considered "dumb" then...
