Carolina Panthers WR Jarrett shows new dedication

Sure hope so. I've been pulling for him for the past couple of games. I really thought that the last game of this season showed what he CAN be. He made a few great catches and really did well without Smitty stretching the field opposite of him. Regardless, the season needs to start.... like NOW, lol.

Glad to see he has been working out and losing weight. 2 things he said were that he was stronger and faster out of his breaks. In another thread comparing him to LaFell I mentioned these 2 areas are problems for him. He wasn't strong enough in his upper body to get off the line and he was slow out of his breaks lacking first step quickness. If he has worked on these areas and improved his blocking he might be a pleasant surprise this year. At least after 3 years he should know the playbook and watching film is a real necessity. Hopefully Tolbert and the fact he has guys breathing down his neck will spur him on to do something this year.

doesnt matter at this point. expectations have been much higher. he's been overpaid to this point and he'd have to come out as a superstar to warrant being resigned. even if he manages to be better than average, lafell will most likely be as good and with the expectations of edwards in the slot, who needs jarrett any more??? the upside to lafell and edwards is too high. he had his chance...

... too little, too late!

I'm loving our new WR's coach so far. It's very reasuring that Tolbert has had success with young WR's in the past, and that he seems to be able to relate to these young guys much better than Williams could. Sometimes those relationships between players and coaches can make a world of difference.

I'm still not really sure what to expect from anybody but Smitty, but I'm looking forward to watching how this WR competition unfolds. TC is gonna be very interesting this year.

And FTR, I really am pulling for Jarrett even though I've criticized him in the past. I hope the light has finally come on for him.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
