We should take a RB this year. Thia class is bananas.

Yep and we knew during this college season that the RB class was great. An NFL team’s GM/Scouts should 100% have known that going into the 2024 draft.

We have to dip again because Brooks isn’t even playing this year.

Lol @ Bond running a 4.41 after claiming he could do a 4.1-4.2

I don't know how true this is, but I read there were some concerns from some players over the field at the combine.  I guess they recently put in a new turf and some players felt like it was slowing them down and was the reason behind some guys deciding not to do the testing and waiting for their Pro Days (or in the case of Big 12 guys, the Big 12 Combine they're putting on in a few weeks)

Not sure I believe that after the RB group tore it up.

Whether it's also slowing down some players times isn't for me to say or not, but they do have a new field that in theory should slow players down ever so slightly based on this article, it makes sense.

Mark it. Tet McMillan will not go top 10 hiding from his speed. Possibly late teens.

You realize he's not hiding from his speed, he's just not doing the events at the combine like a lot (most?) Top 10 picks generally don't do these days.

From what I've seen, he's planning on doing the drills at the Big 12 Combine at the end of the month as well as at his Pro Day.

    • Dave in a presser gassed up Anthony Tyus III and dying to see him on the field.  I mean 3 is all that needed right, and Dan loves etienne. He's one year filling in his body. If brooks is back, toss in chubba, thats 3.
    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
