Yep good point. I actually thought it came in both white and yellow since I see both. Didn't know the yellow was fake.

it always amuses me when food products advertise "white cheddar" as a flavor. as if it tastes different because they didn't dye it orange.

Sliced cheese has it's uses. But if you want true deliciousnessosity, next time you be grilling a burger, melt some Cabot's Seriously Sharp Vermont White Cheddar on it.

between yellow american and white american, i like white much better. yellow american has this chokey taste, and white american tastes more like real cheese.

i like other cheeses much better but my favorite sandwich is getting some salami, bologna, and white american (sliced thin) between two slices of white bread warmed in the microwave just enough so that the bread softens, the cheese melts just a little bit, and the salami and bologna are warm

if you've never tried that i suggest you do because it's f*cking epic
