Yeah he's not better than JSN

Valid. I phrased that wrong. I meant their WR situation is miles better than what they had before. That's now a very scary WR group, in my opinion. Justin Jefferson it ain't, but Darnold's got pieces to be successful if he doesn't come crashing back down to Earth.

Top names continue to get signed as we hit the weekend after a wild few days of NFL free agency. So who are the best players still available? Who might still land a big-money deal? How do quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson stack up? Matt Bowen ranks the best unsigned players remaining on the market.

Here are the top five at the moment:

  1. Cam Robinson, OT
  2. Rasul Douglas, CB
  3. Stefon Diggs, WR
  4. Amari Cooper, WR
  5. Asante Samuel Jr., CB

The Los Angeles Chargers agreed to a two-year deal with guard Mekhi Becton, the team announced Friday. Becton is perhaps the Chargers' most important signing of free agency. L.A.'s most significant weakness last season was its interior offensive line, and the Chargers struggled to build the effective rushing attack that coach Jim Harbaugh promised because of the linemen's struggles.

Two Bills free agent expected to be suspended after signing with team

The Bills won't have DT Larry Ogunjobi or DL Michael Hoecht to start the seasons. General manager Brandon Beane revealed that both players have been suspended SIX games for violating the NFL's PED policy. Beane says the team knew about Hoecht's suspension, but not Ogjunobi's.

Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are about to get paid

The two Bengals receivers are getting to finalizing a deal and they both could have a new contract in the coming days, according to NFL Media

Chase has been told by the Bengals that he'll be the highest paid non-QB in the NFL, so that likely means he'll be getting a deal that tops the $40 million per year that Myles Garrett is making.

As for Higgins, the highest-paid No. 2 receiver in the NFL is Jaylen Waddle at $28.25 million per year, so you can almost certainly expect him to top that. The most likely scenario is that he gets at least $30 million per year,  which means the Bengals will be paying an average of $125 million per year to Joe Burrow and his top two receivers.

After losing free-agent OL Mekhi Becton to the Chargers, as

reported, the Eagles are now poised to have 2026 compensatory picks in rounds 3, 4, 5 and 6. They also already had the Jets’ 3 in 2026 courtesy of the Haason Reddick trade. They now are expected to have five of the top 100 picks, and 12 overall picks, in the 2026 NFL Draft.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
