What one Panthers game would you most want to go back in time to see?

I know the obvious answer is the Super Bowl, but I think that's the wrong answer. For one, the Panthers lost in heartbreaking fashion. How about these choices?

A. The Hall of Fame game versus Jax

B. The win over Pittsburgh that sealed the division in 96

C. The win over Dallas in the playoffs that year

D. The win at St. Louis in the 03 playoffs

E. The win at Philly the next week to clinch a spot in the SB

I think if I was a lifelong Panthers fan, it would be a trip to go back and watch that first game in Canton. Just to see how far the franchise has come. But the other options would be great, too. If I had to pick another one it would be E.

NFC championship game against St. Louis... epic

NFC Champ game was against the Eagles, we played the Rams in the divisional round. However the game against the Rams would be likely be my choice too! That was an amazing game. Another game I'd consider is the game against Tampa Bay in 2003. It was the 2nd game of the season, they were the reigning champs and we were in there house and we blocked the extra point with 0:00 on the clock and took it to OT for the win.

It was the night before. Wonder where the hot one is now?

was it? Thought it was after the game. That would be even better then so I could just sleep in and catch the game on the hotel tele with the lovelies.

Geez, you guys' memories are off. The St. Louis game wasn't the NFC Championship, and the Tampa game with the blocked kicks was in Tampa. LOL

Yep, I was actually at that game. Everyone kept asking who Kris Jenkins was, I let them know he was the guy that replaced Sapp in the pro bowl.

    • I wouldn’t disagree with that.
    • I would say the fact that Dave Canales insisted on a 6 year contract should tell anyone all they need to know about his potential job security under the Tepper's. No matter how much we have heard recently about how David Tepper has learned from this and that. This is still the same man who spent $43.5 million to buy and then immediately demolish a house because of who owned it previously.
    • Same lineup to hopefully finish this one out tonight.  Here's today's projected lineup from the Hurricane's official website:   Tonight's Projected Lineup... Forwards Svechnikov - Aho - Jarvis Hall - Stankoven - Blake Ehlers - Staal - Martinook Carrier - Jankowski - Robinson Defense Slavin - Chatfield Miller - Walker Gostisbehere - Nikishin Starting Goaltender Andersen --- Injuries N/A Scratches Nicolas Deslauriers Pyotr Kochetkov Jesperi Kotkaniemi Mike Reilly --- PP1: Aho, Ehlers (Staal), Jarvis, and Svechnikov with Gostisbehere PP2: Blake, Hall, Jankowski, and Stankoven with Miller I'm getting to the point to where I have to get away from social media.  The narrative is still in some circles that Carolina has played no one.  I just don't see how you can continue to discount what our opponents in the playoffs have done, either to make it to the playoffs or the clubs they beat to faceoff against us.  I know this is how Carolina always get's treated, but if we win tonight our record is 12-1 in the playoffs. 12-1!  Meanwhile, along the way the "talking heads" had us losing in every round.  Maybe, just maybe, Carolina's just that damn good. /rant Here's to kickin azz and taking names tonight. LET'S GO CANES!!
