fan fest a flop???

Preseason does give you an indication of how the team will perform over the course of the season.

Remember in 08 when we assraped the Redskins in 2+ quarters? That's pretty much what we did all season.

Remember last year when we were down 14-3 to the Ravens during that same stretch of time? Also indicative of how we would play for most of that season, except Jake managed to not throw an int that game.

Having said that, this was a fuging fan fest scrimmage, and anyone trying to discern how good or bad we'll be this season from fan fest should probably go ahead and just stick their dick in a blender.

On Thursday we will get a better indication of where we are as a team. Today was more like a glorified practice. It didn't have any kind of game feel. There were holding and false start penalties on both sides. Guys shuffled in and out. No, this is not an indication of the season. Not yet, anyway.

Mat Moore went 4 of 9 for a BIG 26 yards. OUCH!!

Hunter Cantwell (WHO?) and Jimmy Clausen combined for ONE first down *Grumble*. What, is Julius Peppers still playin'... HA!

On the bright side of things, Jake Delhomme threw a SOLID 10 of 15 for 78 yizzards and a TD. Dude, I'm used to being on the other side of this equation!

Need to remember that Delhomme put up those decent practice numbers against the BROWNS #2 DEFENSE. He won't see a squad that bad all season.

You guys are looking at this completely the wrong way. Our defense will be Top 5 this year. Top 5 Pass Defense, top 10-15 Run Defense. Can't f**king wait to watch them shut the 'Aints down.

Perhaps they only look that why because they were playing against the Panthers offense.

...just saying.

Reality is, the only evaluations of this team that matter, start when the season starts.

Anyone who measures a season by its fanfest type activities must be lame or a soccor fan from Uraguay...it's a chance for autos and some bonding...just wait until week 3 of RS then start evaluating what we have!

FF was fun, weather great, and did anyone think about the fact we have NFL in the Carolinas? How great is that?

      My unbelievable pile is touching the moon now-a-days. Bill is ultra control freak if there was ever one in the NFL, he's the guy. He stayed off SM and hate hate hated the media..........(wow bill what did you do in 2024??!?!?!).  So this guy, 100% control freak, just gave away all his SM to a 24 year old?? He doesn't understand SM at all... This is the same level as 8 time SB winner coming to coach UNC, after all this NIL BS that drove out his other control freak coaching friends.  This time line is insane.

      Unless its 2021 renfrow, Moore is 30, jimmy horn was picked 208 in a weak draft.... I mean they just rid of Clowney cause of number of snaps, so Moore could follow that. NFL is unforgiving missing a full year and deal with disease is very hard to over come.  The only locks are- Tmac, XL, AT. Coker is close, but if he shows up in poor shape, he could be cut.  If horn wins the 5th, all George has to do is show he's more valuable than the listed above. renfrow could be a PS guy as he continues to get back in NFL shape. Moore has been on like 8 teams and just a fine fit with the Dave system.  I mean for the first time in I don't know when, there is a real battle to make the #4-#6 WR room. It's good to cut good players...  Lastly who knows, one or two injuries hit and George easily makes the 53. I got him currently as the #6. 4 others are right there too, I heard Dave say Kobe Hudson name during a presser. He's in the mix too.
