Dwayne Jarrett

I always expected Drew Carter to be the next Randy Moss. :(

I mean Carter did have some success but he just could not run a route to save his life... The Bigger mystery is what happened to Kerry Colbert. He did real well then fell off the planet. Another Practice warrior also that would disappear come game time.

I'm not going to let all you on the bandwagon Thurs. night when you try to jump on.

Well you know.. I was going to say I would support him if he did some how miracluously succeeded in the preseason and became an average WR because he is a member of the Panthers. However, even if he plays decent, I still wont be on the bandwagon.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is the best WR all preseason that runs w/ our 1st unit. Removing Jake and inserting Moore will make a difference for our TEs and Jarrett.

I would say it will make a difference for all of our receivers. It certainly did last year. Even for Steve Smith who had his best game of the year after Moore took over.

Having Moore could actually hurt the Tight Ends, at least in number of receptions, as we dumped it off to the tight ends more than normal last year because Jake was afraid to throw it more than 10 yards.

I think the TE's will get more touches because Moore is mobile.

Jake also has smith tunnel vision

Less then 24 hours till we get a chance to see DJ as a starter....I am pretty fuging stoked for the opportunity he has. I'm with CRA I think he plays very well this preseason. Then again I'm a USC fan and have been the driver for the Dwayne Jarrett bandwagon since the day he was drafted....

    • Them playing behind a couple more seasoned guys until they get familiar with coverage and pace of play is a good thing though. We really can use them to spell the other guys, and in situational ball especially with Ransom on possible run/blitzing downs.
    • They fuged him over so bad to help cover their bad judgement. About time he got a little something to wrk with.
    • I think completion percentage is a bit of a overinflated stat for a qb too. People place to much stock into it. So many factors to consider with it : receivers, how many attempts are made deep, the defense etc all play a roll in it. When it’s considerably low 50% or less the QB accuracy can come into question. But I don’t think it’s necessarily one of the better percentages to put so much importance into for that position. General effectiveness is far more indicative of the QB you have. First downs, 3rd and 4th down conversions, points scored and clutch plays IMO is how you grade a QB. Always bothered the poo out of me how people downed Cam for his completion percentage and that’s what they used to disregard him as an all time great. Dude damn near averaged 3tds to 1 turnover a game and was an obvious difference maker for us.
